BAKERS AND BAKERY SHOPPERS:
THE ROSH HASHANAH SWEETS TABLE NEEDS YOU!
BAKERS AND BAKERY SHOPPERS! 🎉
Our Rosh Hashanah sweets table is a High Holidays treat for all. Sisterhood traditionally provides the delicious baked goods for the Rosh Hashanah Reception following morning services. Please consider sharing the sweetness of the New Year with our congregation. There are several ways to participate; all congregant contributions are welcome!
Baking requests:
● Bring 2-4 dozen sweets.
● Label your creations “For RH Sweets Table” and put your name on them, so we can keep track of what we have.
● Nuts are allowed; please label sweets that include nuts.
● Gluten-free options are welcome; please include a gluten-free label as appropriate.
We've expanded the times sweets can be brought to CBI for Rosh Hashanah to accommodate busy schedules. NEW Delivery options:
● Option 1: bring sweets to Blumauer Auditorium, in the Sherman Education Building, between 12:30 and 1:30 PM on Friday, September 11th. We will be there to greet you.
● Option 2: bring sweets to the Shirley and Herbert Semler Board Room (located on the second floor of the Schnitzer Family Center) between 9:00 AM and 12:15 PM on Friday, September 11th. There will be a table set up to place sweets.
● Option 3: bring sweets to the Shirley and Herbert Semler Board Room between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Thursday, September 10th. There will be a table set up to place sweets. This option is only for sweets that do not require refrigeration.
You can bring sweets from your favorite bakery. We hope this will allow individuals who don’t have the time/energy/desire to be in the kitchen to participate.
We will arrange sweet trays on Friday, September 11th, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, in the Blumauer Auditorium in the Sherman Education building. If you are baking and traying, bring your sweets with you when you come.
If you are unable to bake or buy sweets, please consider a contribution to Sisterhood. You may send your check to the CBI office, payable to Beth Israel Sisterhood, marked "Sisterhood Sweets." You can donate via credit/debit card on the sign-up form. All contributions are greatly appreciated.
