inspiring hope, empowering action,
providing a path for the betterment of the family, community, and world. It is sponsored by the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of Portland. Bahá’u’lláh, a title which means Glory of God, spoke words inspired by the one God, creator of all that is. T

hese Divine Words, revealed by Bahá’u’lláh, are the basis of the Bahá’í Faith. Now millions of Bahá’ís and their friends are striving to build unified families and communities in accordance with this new guidance from God for our age. The Bahá’í community welcomes all to join in systematic learning, putting into practice the related service activities, then reflecting on and adding to our knowledge in a continuing cycle of activity.

“The plants that have sprung forth, O my Lord, in the hearts of Thy loved ones have withered away. Send down upon them from the clouds of The Spirit, that which will cause the tender herbs of Thy knowledge and wisdom to grow within their breasts.” ~Bahá’ú’lláh, Prayers and Meditations

Dear Friends,
Have you experienced a sense of spiritual decline? Join us this Sunday as we explore the sacred writings that elucidate the Holy Spirit, the transformative force that invigorates the human spirit. We will be accompanied by live music and a time for collective prayer. Revitalize your soul!

Interfaith Devotions: Beaverton Bahá’í Center
Sun May 31 2026, 10:30am - 11:30am
Bahá’í Center, 5355 SW Murray Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97005

This week the theme is Health and Healing. There is spiritual healing through prayer, meditation, fasting, and other spiritual acts and practices. There is also material healing through medicines, operations, drug and genetic treatments, exercises such as yoga and cardio-exercises, diet, vitamins, weight loss or gain, and many others (some are based on recent science while others are based on traditional practices). Baha'u'llah (founder of the Baha'i Faith) explicitly confirms the validity of both spiritual and material healing whenever they are appropriate. Earlier religious traditions mostly refer to spiritual healing as centuries ago there was little understanding of science (the Islamic culture nurtured the beginning of many areas of science).

Juneteenth (June 19) will be on Tuesday, June 19th. We will have a picnic/party at the Beaverton Baha'i Center with hotdogs, burgers, and veggie patties provided. Bring a side dish, salad, or dessert to share. Thanks to the Aloha Baha'i Community!

Everyone of all ages is welcome! Bring your friends for a pleasant spiritual experience. There will be a period for open prayers and singing. Starting about 11 am there will be a free children's program for ages from 2 to 6 years. You are welcome to bring your kids and to help out with the children or attend the devotions program.

Coffee will be prepared. Dessert and snacks are potluck so bring something to share or just bring yourself. As always at the Center there are no donations.

🎤 Open Mic

Dear Friends! This Sunday the virtual Sunday Devotions will be an open mic devotion. Meaning, you are part of the program! Please bring something to share—a writing that moves you, a prayer that needs to be said, a poem from your heart, a song!! We need everyone’s participation, so start looking for what you can share and come early for fellowship before the program begins at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday, May 31st. Kiel Moses will lead the devotions. Thank you Kiel!
Make this one special!!
I will be hosting the devotions at the Portland Bahá’í Center at the same time. We will have live music and after the devotions there will be a Song Circle at the Center from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. People are responding and it looks to be a lot of fun with surprise guests coming. So if you are in the area, please drop by. If you have an instrument you play, bring it and share your favorite songs. You can also come and listen.
Have a wonderful devotion!
Sincerely,Karen ❤️
