Greater Portland Bible Church began in 1977 with a group of about 30 families who longed for a church that combined good Bible teaching with dynamic worship. 40 years later, those elements are still the heart of our times together. We ar

e learning that the whole Bible tells the story of Jesus, so "good Bible teaching" has come to mean not only explaining what the Bible says, but letting our hearts see Him in every passage. We want to leave every worship gathering more impressed with Jesus and more compelled to follow Him than when we came. Although we count many churches in the Portland area as our friends, Greater Portland is not affiliated with any denomination or movement.

Grateful for all God did through the Firmly Rooted, Faithfully Sent leadership conference at the Hope Center. We spent time with pastors and church leaders talking about sharing the Gospel, discipleship, prayer, missions, and laying a foundation of faith for the next generation.

After the conference, we had the joy of visiting families around the Hope Center. We are now thankful for some time of fellowship at the beach and grateful for the ways God is at work here in the Philippines.
