"Sponsorship is an invitation into caring for the whole person, an invitation into possibility, an invitation into the family of God. They aren't just sponsored kids; they are our family. They pray for us, and we pray for them. We are forever changed for the better in supporting them, in meeting them, and in loving and being loved by them." -Michelle, Sponsor with Lahash. Check out her sponsorship story on our blog.

We invite YOU to help us get 21 children sponsored for our 21st birthday today!

"I've worked in sponsorship with Lahash for many years, and I can tell you that walking with a child long-term makes a huge difference. Your sponsorship of one child isn't just helping a child get to school, but it's actually helping lift an entire family out of poverty." -Katie, Sponsorship Director

We still have 132 children waiting for sponsorship in the Lahash program. Would you share this post with your community and consider sponsoring a child?

We are celebrating 21 incredible years of God's love transforming lives across East Africa! Through the work of Lahash International, vulnerable children and their families find hope in Jesus' name and receive much-needed holistic care, empowering them to grow into leaders and change-makers in their communities! Thank you!

“As I looked at the beautiful mountains in Nandi Hills and the calm rivers, I felt deeply moved. The mountains were tall and majestic, while the river waters flowed with peace. These beautiful sights made me come to the conclusion that our Creator is wonderful.. His creation manifests beauty, purpose, and care,” shared Jane, a student from Nipe Tumaini.

Our ministry partner Nipe Tumaini just held a wonderful Bible Camp at Diguna, Nandi Hills, Kenya. The camp brought together children, staff, and volunteers from Nipe Tumaini for Bible lessons and fellowship. The theme of the camp was from Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” The camp encouraged the children we serve at Nipe Tumaini to understand their value, identity, and purpose. It also provided a great spot for retreat, rest, and reflection.

This is what hope looks like. Through the Lahash Sponsorship Program, Sekwat received love, mentorship, and education, and he graduated with a business degree! "It was just like a dream come true." He is now a leader in his community and extends the love of Christ that he experienced through the Stand With Students program at Lahash. Sponsorship has a ripple effect - not only impacting one child, but an entire community. Sponsor a student today! Lahash.org/Sponsor

"In my culture, the mom sits here at the head of the table, in the seat of honor."

My breath caught, humbled and honored as King gave up his seat and asked me to move to the head of the table. I'm not entirely sure what I expected when we set out in the hope of meeting our sponsor kids of 10 years, but it definitely wasn't this.

King told us towards the end of that first week, "This week, I felt like I was with my parents again." And again my breath was cut short, in total humility, to hear what this time together had meant to him, and I realized it did to us too...........................................................................
