Today, we are sharing an open letter our church has sent to the White House. This is not about politics. It is about faith. As followers of Christ, we believe the church must speak when injustice harms the vulnerable, silences communities, and undermines human dignity.

This letter calls our nation’s leaders to repentance, justice, and mercy, values deeply rooted in Scripture. We share it publicly because silence in the face of injustice is not an option for God’s people.

Below is the letter we sent on behalf of our church, our city, and the community we are called to serve. Ultimately, we acknowledge that Babylon will fall and we wait patiently for the coming of the Lord, but until then we will occupy until He comes and wage peace.

Big news this week: Travis Kelce gave Taylor Swift an engagement ring 💍. That’s sweet, but we think FREE ice cream is even sweeter.

This Sunday, August 31, from 1–4 PM, Your Bible Speaks Church is hosting our Community Ice Cream Social. We’re talking ice cream cones, popsicles, sandwiches, and plenty of fun for the whole family. There will be games for kids, laughter for everyone, and a chance to connect with your neighbors in the Cully community.

And unlike Travis’ ring, this one doesn’t cost millions—it’s all FREE.

So while Taylor and Travis are celebrating their engagement, we’re inviting you to celebrate community, friendship, and the simple joy of a summer afternoon. Bring the kids, bring a friend, and come grab a scoop (or two).

🍂 Harvest Weekend is here! 🍂

We invite you to join us for two days of celebrating God’s blessings and the harvest He has promised us!

Saturday, October 5th at 11:00 AM:
We kick off our Harvest Celebration with a powerful message from our guest speaker, Dr. Christopher Thompson, author and professor of community engagement. Come and celebrate what God has done through our garden ministry and beyond!

Sunday, October 6th from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM:
Come back for our Harvest Festival! Enjoy a fun-filled day with activities for the whole family, including a seed harvest, deep mulch workshop, garden tour, cider pressing, live music, and delicious wood-fired pizza from the garden.

🌿✨ Cully Neighborhood Harvest Festival - A Day to Remember! ✨🌿

On October 1, 2023, the Your Bible Speaks Community Seventh-day Adventist Church proudly hosted the Cully Neighborhood Harvest Festival. With the sole purpose of community connection and enlightening everyone about the wonders of our urban mulch farm, “God’s Garden,” this event was nothing short of spectacular!

🎉 Highlights:

• Wholesome games organized by our Children’s Ministries Department.
• Melodious live music from talented Cully Neighborhood members. The harmonious sound of marimbas, guitars, and dynamic vocalists filled the air with joy!
• The community joined forces to bring their apples, and together, we pressed a whopping 400 pounds of fresh cider!

The turnout was astonishing with 300-400 of our neighbors attending. We were also honored by the presence of a mayoral candidate and discussions about the Cully Five Corners Project.

One of our standout moments was the two-hour farm tour of God’s Garden, showcasing our sustainable farming method that relies solely on rainwater!
