MEDIA DISCUSSION SERIES
Save the dates! The Racial Justice Working Group Media Discussion Series will begin on July 9th for six weeks through August 13th. Join us on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. as we break bread, watch viewings related to racism in the United States, and discuss with one another the many unfamiliar lived experiences and perspectives present within and outside of our community. CELEBRATING PRIDE DURING FELLOWSHIP
June is Pride month, and on Sunday, June 21, our fellowship time after worship (about 11:30 a.m.) will be Pride-themed. Join us for a rainbow extravaganza outside the church! This will be a fun way to celebrate the many ways our LGBTQ+ members and friends add to the culture and well-being of Westminster throughout the year. We hope to see you at fellowship time!

TAIZÉ SERVICE OF HEALING & WHOLENESS
The labyrinth path will be available for a contemplative walk at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, in the Great Hall. Our Taizé Service of Healing and Wholeness will follow at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary. This worship service offers a time of meditation and prayer, music in the Taizé style, and the opportunity to light candles to represent prayers. All are welcome. Beginning Sunday, June 21, Westminster will add a 9 a.m. summer worship service to our Sunday schedule. Our 9 a.m. service will be held in the Great Hall. We will also have our weekly 10:30 a.m. service in our sanctuary. We look forward to seeing you!

ODIORNE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
Each year Westminster makes available scholarships for its members, its active participants, or qualified church staff pursuing higher education. Recipients are those who are incoming freshmen through seniors at accredited colleges and universities (including community colleges) or those attending trade schools, certified professional licensing programs, or graduate school. Amounts of the scholarships depend on money available and number of applicants. This year the application deadline is Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Application information can be found at https://westprespdx.org/odiorne/. Applicants will be notified regarding decisions and details later in the summer. You’re invited to the Youth Summer Fundraiser: Bingo Night! On Saturday, June 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., come to the Great Hall to play bingo, (potentially) win fabulous prizes, eat pizza, and bid in our silent auction to benefit our youth programming! ALL-CHURCH RETREAT REGISTRATION CLOSES NEXT WEEK!
Time is running out to sign up for the 2026 All-Church Retreat, held July 17 – 19. The last day to register is Wednesday, June 24, unless we reach capacity sooner, in which case registration will close when full.

This year's theme is “Joy in Community,” and there's no better place to experience it than the Menucha Retreat and Conference Center in the Columbia River Gorge. The weekend will include meals, singing, a variety show, worship, free time, and plenty of fun. Registration uses a tiered pricing model; adults can choose the level that best fits their situation (or request a scholarship), while children and youth 18 and younger are free when attending with an adult. LAST DAY OF SUNDAY SCHOOL
The last day of Sunday School will be Sunday, June 14. After that, Sunday School will go on summer break. Our pray-ground remains available during the summer. It’s a designated place in the front of the sanctuary for small children, a place where they can experience worship through art and quiet play while worship is happening. All children up to age three are welcome to use the pray-ground with their caregiver present.
