JUNE 28TH FOOD DRIVE
With the beautiful weather and summer fun that this time of year brings, it's easy to forget that hunger never takes a vacation. Even though families might not be packing lunch boxes right now, they still need quick and nutritious lunchtime essentials. For our June food drive, please bring peanut butter and jelly, pretzels and chips, juice boxes, individual Jello cups and fruit cups, applesauce, raisins, nuts, and granola bars to help our neighbors served by the Northeast Emergency Food Program (NEFP). (No glass containers, please.) You can bring your donations to fellowship time (around 11:30 a.m.) on Sunday, June 28, where you can drop them off at the drive’s collection tent in the church parking lot. If you can’t make it to church that day, please consider a financial gift instead; please write “June 28th food drive” on the memo line of your check to Westminster or note it on the memo line of your online gift. Thank you!

June is Pride month, and on Sundays, June 7 and 21, our fellowship time after worship (about 11:30 a.m.) will be Pride-themed. Join us for a rainbow extravaganza in the courtyard! This will be a fun way to celebrate the many ways our LGBTQ+ members and friends add to the culture and well-being of Westminster throughout the year. We hope to see you at fellowship time!

ALL-CHURCH RETREAT REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
We are so excited about the 2026 All-Church Retreat, held Friday, July 17, through Sunday, July 19. This year's theme is “Joy in Community,” and there's no better place to experience it than the Menucha Retreat and Conference Center in the Columbia River Gorge. The weekend will include meals, singing, a variety show, worship, free time, and plenty of fun. Registration uses a tiered pricing model; adults can choose the level that best fits their situation (or request a scholarship), while children and youth 18 and younger are free when attending with an adult. The last day to register is Wednesday, June 24, unless we reach capacity sooner, in which case registration will close when full. For more information or to register, go to our website, here: https://westprespdx.org/connect/community-life/ and follow the instructions.

OUR NEXT DEACON DOUGHNUT DAY IS SUNDAY!
This Sunday, May 31, the deacons will be serving delicious doughnuts during fellowship time (about 11:30 a.m.) in the Great Hall following worship. In addition to a variety of ways our deacons provide congregational care, each deacon has a Connections List which includes both friends and members of the church. Reaching out to the folks on our Connections Lists increases awareness of those around us and those who may need assistance in feeling connected. Your deacon may reach out to you by greeting you at church, or through a phone call, text, mail, or email. If you’re not sure who your deacon is, May 31 might be a great time for them to connect with you. It will definitely be a great time to enjoy some delicious doughnuts!
