In celebration of learn about the groundbreaking work of Cynthia Neely when she served as President of The First Church of Christ, Scientist (The Mother Church), June 2004-June 2005.

“The power of Love opened the doors. When I loved the people in the Boston community, they felt it. And they responded,” Neely said.

This interview in the weekly religious publication for the church (Christian Science Sentinel) chronicles Neely’s journey and the many friendships and alliances she forged in the Boston area during her tenure.

🔷Registration for the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church is now open!🔷

Join us in Boston (or online) on Monday, June 8, 2026.

This special time provides an opportunity for our church family to come together to show our love of and gratitude for Christian Science.

The Mother Church will not be offering specific youth programming this year. However, we will gather together as a church family for a Sunday afternoon hymn sing, and Annual Meeting on Monday. We will resume this special youth programming next year in 2027.

Registration for Annual Meeting is encouraged for all attendees (in-person and online). Your registration is helpful for our planning and ensures we have your most up-to-date contact information. However, registration is required to request complimentary basic dormitory lodging.

🔹Lodging🔹
For any adult (18 years of age or older) for whom the cost of lodging in Boston would keep them from attending Annual Meeting, we will again be offering basic dormitory lodging for up to three nights (Saturday–Monday) on a first-come, first-served basis.

Find information about lodging options and registration at christianscience.com/annualmeeting.

P.S. —Stay informed and join the WhatsApp channel for Annual Meeting 2026! Follow along for updates and Sunday event information. Join the channel here https://www.whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vau9YyR0gcfPiHeeNc22?cmpid=FB

Loving Father, we Thy children
Look to Thee in fear’s dark night
While the angels of Thy presence
Guide us upward to the light.

Then we feel the power that lifts us
To Thy holy secret place,
Where our gloom is lost in glory
As we see Thee face to face.

We would learn, O gracious Father,
To reflect Thy healing love.
May we all awake to praise Thee
For Thy good gifts from above.

Make us strong to bear the message
To Thy children far and near:
Fear shall have no more dominion.
God is All, and heaven is here.

(Rosemary B. Hackett, Christian Science Hymnal, No. 181, Concord - A Christian Science Study Resource)

A time of wonder and light to welcome in the Christ once more! How grateful we are at Canterbury Crest to consistently gain a greater understanding of God’s most gracious gift - the gift of the Christ and the awakening to man’s true spiritual identity as the image and likeness of God.

“The illumination of Mary’s spiritual sense put to silence material law and its order of generation, and brought forth her child by the revelation of Truth, demonstrating God as the Father of men.” (SH 29:20–24)
