Chosen by Pope Francis, he was ordained and installed as the 13th Bishop of Portland on May 7, 2024, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland. May God continue to guide him as he shepherds the people of Maine.

The Diocese of Portland will host a celebration of Evening Prayer and Benediction followed by a reception to honor Bishop Robert P. Deeley as he completes 10 years of service as the 12th Bishop of Portland. All are invited to attend the evening, which will be held Sunday, April 14, at 5:30 p.m. at the Basilica of Ss. Peter and Paul in Lewiston.
