September 6th, at 10AM. The name “Kanzeon” means to hear the sounds of pain and suffering. Therefore, this deity hears our pain and suffering and always lends a hand to us. This deity is the true embodiment of ultimate compassion that we should embody in our daily life. We will be learning about the deity and the power it holds. Any and all questions can be answered. Social hour follows the service — refreshments provided.

THIS SATURDAY! CHANTING, POTLUCK, and Q&A. We are so grateful to have Rev. Yamamura to perform our service this Saturday, August 22nd, at 10AM. We will be chanting the Odaimoku, “Namu Myoho Renge Kyo,” to explore the teachings of the Buddha. After service, please join us downstairs for a potluck and Q&A session. Please bring a dish to share with the community and please follow health code protocols to ensure food safety. This is a special event, so please feel free to bring friends and enjoy the teachings of the Buddha together.

Obon is a time of reflection, where, in the Japanese belief, our ancestors come back to visit us. It is a time to chant the Odaimoku for there, and to honor them by living our life in the service of others. Please DM with questions.
