What’s Your Story? At the beginning of July, twelve students and two chaperones set out on an adventure to discover the answer to that very question. Throughout their 10-day journey, so much was revealed as God patiently waited for the surrender of their hearts. Despite the many sleepless nights, they returned with fruitful, Christ-centered friendships, lasting memories, and beautiful encounters with His healing mercy. Thank you Notre Dame Vision 🙏🏼

In 1976, Franciscan University of Steubenville held its first youth conference on its campus in Steubenville, Ohio. This summer, the Catholic university celebrates 50 years of a conference that has changed many lives.

Since its founding, the youth conferences have helped over 1 million young people encounter Jesus Christ through dynamic talks, the Mass, Eucharistic adoration, confession, prayer, and fellowship.

The Diocese of Salford has officially opened the cause for the beatification and canonization of Pedro Ballester, a Manchester student who died from cancer at just 21. This formal step marks the beginning of an investigation into his life and holiness, potentially making him the Catholic Church’s first saint from the Gen Z generation. "We are pleased to announce the opening of the Cause for the Beatification and Canonisation of Pedro Ballester, a young Manchester man whose life of faith and witness continues to inspire many," the diocese stated, highlighting the profound impact of his short but faithful life.

A chemical engineering student and dedicated member of Opus Dei, Ballester’s journey was marked by a courageous battle with aggressive pelvic cancer that began shortly after he started university. Despite his suffering, he remained an "athlete of love," famously offering his pain for the Church and the Pope. His funeral at Holy Name Church was attended by hundreds and led by the future Cardinal Arthur Roche, signaling the widespread recognition of his "heroic virtue" and his growing reputation as a modern model of joy in the face of adversity.
