As wonderful as angels are, there is another group of “angels” that we need to be aware of and on guard against. They are the fallen angels led by Satan himself. Like Satan, they are lying, deceptive, destructive beings set firmly in opposition to God and God’s beloved children. And they sometimes masquerade as angels of light.

As God’s messengers, Angels especially celebrate and rejoice in the gospel, and even assist in the proclamation of the good news.

To protect and serve is an admirable law enforcement motto. But God protects and serves in a manner far beyond the world’s finest police force. God uses His angels to guard and protect the people who trust in Him, and he serves them with great comfort and aid and encouragement.

We’ve all heard the comment, “Life’s not fair; get over it.” But rather than simply dismissing the unfairness of life, in Ecclesiastes Solomon provides insights that help us face that unfairness with greater understanding.

Life is a long game with no time-outs. So Ecclesiastes encourages us that the end is better than the beginning, so be patient, trust God, and keep going.

In Ecclesiastes & many of the Proverbs, Solomon frequently contrasts foolishness with wisdom. And he always comes to the same conclusion: Wisdom wins & foolishness fails. So stay away from foolishness. Avoid it in your own life, & avoid being around fools if at possible.
