Shepherd Band of Brothers

Shepherd Band of Brothers Band of Brothers is the Monday night Men's Ministry of Shepherd Church.

Band of Brothers is a men’s LIFE Group that focuses on using the tools God has given to live a successful life through study, discussion and accountability, in order that men might continue to be built up into men of integrity. Band of Brothers meets every Monday night in room 201 and 202, upstairs at Shepherd Church on the Porter Ranch campus. During Life Group series we meet as a Men's Life Grou

p utilizing the same materials as other Life Groups through out the Shepherd Church Community. When not in series, Band of Brothers tackles men's issues with live, bible based teachings geared towards helping the men of our community become the men of God He intends us to me. Acts 4:13 says, “When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and took note that these men had been with Jesus.”

We are entering our last week for this series on this Monday night, May 14 at 7pm. All men will benefit from these teachings and Q&A time. We invite you and hope that you will join us for these next few weeks!

Here is some more information on the last night!

May 14. Treating Women Respectfully – Pastor Brian Marston will be presenting on respect as a lost art and basic form of compassion for a fellow human being. We will discuss how to maintain our “masculinity” and still love, serve, and honor the women that we encounter, regardless of our relationship to them or their worldly appearances or lifestyle.

Remember! We will be meeting in MC One (the old sanctuary) for this last week. Snacks and coffee will be available in the lobby by the fireplace before worship begins in MC One.

We have plenty of room for men to join us if they would like. We are inviting all men who want to experience hope, healing, and reconciliation in this area of their lives regardless of what church they attend, if any at all. Our goal as a church body is to provide a safe place that offers hope, healing, and reconciliation to those who seek it. In a four-part approach, we will attempt to tackle this pervasive evil that continues to plague Jesus’ bride, the church.

We look forward to seeing you Monday, May 14 at 7pm!!

This is a reminder that we are continuing our Band of Brothers – S*x Series tonight at 7pm at Shepherd Church! Even if you missed last week, we encourage you to be here for this amazing lesson and call to action! We will be meeting in MC One (the old sanctuary) for these next couple of weeks. Snacks and coffee will be available in the lobby by the fireplace before worship begins in MC One.

Tonight, May 7, we are continuing in this four-week S*x Series that we want everyone to attend! All men will benefit from these teachings and group time discussions. We invite you and hope that you will join us for these next few weeks!

Tonight’s topic:

Human Trafficking – Chris Grillo and Joy Collins-Brodt of Treasures LA – iamatreasure.com will be presenting on human trafficking as a worldwide epidemic that is found in every country without discrimination. No community is safe from this egregious, tragic, atrocious, horrendous crime on another human being. We will discuss how men contribute to this by viewing videos, pictures, etc. We will also discuss how men can help by being aware of this issue and how men can get involved to help prevent this crime against humanity.

Our goal as a church body is to provide a safe place that offers hope, healing, and reconciliation to those who seek it. YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS OUT!!

We had another amazing night this past Monday night at Band of Brothers!! Thank you all for those of you who were in attendance and for you who have been praying for this series!

We wanted to give you an update on the Band of Brothers – S*x Series this past Monday night. We had over 200 men here. Our presenter, Abe Anaya, explained the problems that men face when we view po*******hy. And the staggering statistics of how many children are exposed to “adult entertainment.” He also discussed how gracious and loving our God is toward us. He wants nothing more than to set us free from our enslavement.

It was once again, a very candid conversation that elicited many very good questions from you guys! We are going to keep that going this week as we explore the ills of human trafficking.

Week 2 - Band of Brother S*x Series

April 30. Po*******hy – Pastor Abe Anaya will be presenting on the ills and evils of the “benign” sin that “doesn’t hurt anyone.” Rather than provide neurological and sociological excuses for addictive behaviors or for acting out, the information presented is intended to open doors of understanding. For many, it is time for renewing of the mind.

Remember we are meeting downstairs in MC1 (old sanctuary). There will be snacks and coffee in the lobby available before the meeting begins at 7pm.

What an amazing night we had this past Monday night at Band of Brothers!! Thank you all for those of you who were in attendance and for you who have been praying for this series!

I wanted to give you an update on the Band of Brothers – S*x Series this past Monday night. We had over 175 men here. Our presenter, Shawn Sawyer, was very good and shared the struggles we all face as well as the hope that we have in Jesus. It was a very candid conversation that elicited many very good questions from you guys! It was even better that Shawn was able to answer them live on stage after his presentation was over.

We had men as young as 17, seniors in High School, who attended with their dads. We had men in their 70’s who are now looking for hope, healing, and reconciliation with God and with their families. And we had everything else in between! It was a really great night!

We have more room for men to join us if they would like. We are inviting all men who want to experience hope, healing, and reconciliation in this area of their lives regardless of what church they attend, if any at all. Our goal as a church body is to provide a safe place that offers hope, healing, and reconciliation to those who seek it.
