We had another amazing night this past Monday night at Band of Brothers!! Thank you all for those of you who were in attendance and for you who have been praying for this series!
We wanted to give you an update on the Band of Brothers – S*x Series this past Monday night. We had over 200 men here. Our presenter, Abe Anaya, explained the problems that men face when we view po*******hy. And the staggering statistics of how many children are exposed to “adult entertainment.” He also discussed how gracious and loving our God is toward us. He wants nothing more than to set us free from our enslavement.
It was once again, a very candid conversation that elicited many very good questions from you guys! We are going to keep that going this week as we explore the ills of human trafficking.
This coming Monday night, May 7 at 7pm, we are continuing in this four-week S*x Series that we want everyone to attend! All men will benefit from these teachings and group time discussions. We invite you and hope that you will join us for these next few weeks!
Here is some more information on the upcoming nights.
May 7. Human Trafficking –Chris Grillo and Joy Collins-Brodt of Treasures LA – iamatreasure.com will be presenting on human trafficking as a worldwide epidemic that is found in every country without discrimination. No community is safe from this egregious, tragic, atrocious, horrendous crime on another human being. We will discuss how men contribute to this by viewing videos, pictures, etc. We will also discuss how men can help by being aware of this issue and how men can get involved to help prevent this crime against humanity.
May 14. Treating Women Respectfully – Pastor Brian Marston will be presenting on respect as a lost art and basic form of compassion for a fellow human being. We will discuss how to maintain our “masculinity” and still love, serve, and honor the women that we encounter, regardless of our relationship to them or their worldly appearances or lifestyle.
ALSO! We will be meeting in MC One (the old sanctuary) for these four weeks. Snacks and coffee will be available in the lobby by the fireplace before worship begins in MC One.
We have plenty of room for you to invite men to join us. We are inviting all men who want to experience hope, healing, and reconciliation in this area of their lives regardless of what church they attend, if any at all. Our goal as a church body is to provide a safe place that offers hope, healing, and reconciliation to those who seek it. In a four-part approach, we will attempt to tackle this pervasive evil that continues to plague Jesus’ bride, the church.

Please feel free to pass this information on to whomever you like. We look forward to seeing you Monday, May 7 at 7pm!!
