Does God really love me?

That's a question many of us ask when we fail, struggle, or feel far from God.

The good news of the Gospel is this:

God doesn't love you because of the future version of you.He doesn't love you because you've cleaned up your life.He doesn't love you because you're perfect.

He loves you right now—flaws and all.

"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love..." — Romans 8:38-39

Join us on YouVersion for “Romans 8 – Move From Condemned to Convinced.”

If you’ve ever struggled with guilt, shame, or wondered if God really loves you, this plan is for you.

Be reminded:

✅ There is no condemnation in Christ.
✅ God’s grace is greater than your failures.
✅ Nothing can separate you from God’s love.

“Nothing… will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 8:39

Christians often feel lacking, insufficient, and second-class. In a word, we feel condemned. This is because, even without noticing it, we are basing our salvation on how well we are performing as Christians. In this short meditation of Romans 8, you will learn how God wants to move you from feeling...

Psalms 3–4 were written during a difficult season in David’s life. He was surrounded by trouble, uncertainty, and opposition, yet he continued to trust God.

One of the most powerful truths in these chapters is that peace doesn’t come from having a perfect situation—it comes from knowing God is in control. David could rest because his confidence was in the Lord, not in his circumstances.

No matter what you are facing today, God is still your refuge, protector, and source of peace.

📖 Reminder: Take a few minutes today to read Psalms 3–4 and reflect on how trusting God can bring peace even in the middle of life’s challenges.

Don't just hear God's Word—live it.

✅ Stop trying to earn what Jesus already paid for."For it is by grace you have been saved..." (Ephesians 2:8)

Spend time with God this week without trying to impress Him. Come honestly. Remember that His love is a gift, not a reward for good behavior.

✅ Replace the lies with truth."Nothing... will be able to separate us from the love of God..." (Romans 8:39)

When negative thoughts come this week, fight back with Scripture. Don't let lies have the final word.

✅ Receive God's love personally.Psalm 139 reminds us that God knows everything about us and still loves us.

Take a few minutes each day to thank God for His love. Don't just believe He loves people—believe He loves YOU.

And when you mess up this week, don't run from God. Run to Him.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us..." (1 John 1:9)

God's grace is greater than your failure.

Psalm 1 opens the book of Psalms by showing two paths in life. One leads toward God, and the other leads away from Him. The person who flourishes is the one who delights in God’s Word and makes it a regular part of life.

Psalm 2 reminds us that while the world may resist God, He is still King and His plans will stand forever.

Together, these chapters encourage us to stay rooted in God’s truth and trust His authority. Real spiritual growth doesn’t happen by accident—it happens when we consistently spend time with God and allow His Word to shape our hearts and minds.

📖 Reminder: Take a few minutes today to read Psalms 1–2 and ask God to help you stay rooted in His Word and trust Him as King over every area of your life.

🌞 Kid’s Corner – June Family Challenge! 📖✨

Families, we’re so excited to walk through the Bible together this month! Each day is a chance to grow closer to Jesus as a family—reading, learning, and talking about God’s Word at home.

Here’s the best part: Don’t stress about perfection.

If you miss a day… it’s okay!
Just pick it back up with the current day and keep going. God isn’t asking for perfect consistency—He’s inviting us into a daily relationship with Him.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Try doing it together at dinner, bedtime, or in the morning before school/work. Even 5–10 minutes can make a big difference.

Let’s make June a month of faith at home! 🙌

📖✨ Welcome to the Bible Book Club! ✨📖

At Portage Christian Church, our heart is to help you grow deeper in your relationship with God—and one of the best ways to do that is by spending time in Scripture each day.

This month, we’re journeying through the Book of Psalms together! We’ve created a simple daily reading plan (just a few chapters a day) to help make it easy and doable, even in a busy season.

Take time each day, mark off your reading, and let God speak to your heart.

We’re praying for you and can’t wait to see how God works through this journey.
