Prince of Peace, Portage, MI - ELCA

Prince of Peace, Portage, MI - ELCA Touched by the gospel, we seek to be instruments of God's peace for the sake of the world. Worship: 10:30am Sunday Mornings

Prince of Peace is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The best way to get to know us is to visit us for worship on Sundays or through one of the many events that take place in our community. We are currently worshipping in our sanctuary and online at 10:30 AM on Sundays. Join us online via our website or YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/princeofpeacelutheranchurchportagemi). Learning hour for all ages begin at 9:15 AM each Sunday. Please see our website for the most up to date calendar of events. www.popportage.org

The ELCA confesses the Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In our preaching and teaching the ELCA trusts the Gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe. ELCA teaching or theology serves the proclamation and ministry of this faith. It does not have an answer for all questions, not even all religious questions. Teaching or theology prepares members to be witnesses in speech and in action of God’s rich mercy in Jesus Christ.

The Jubilee Garden team delivered 64 lbs. of food to our friends at Mothers Of Hope on Saturday. 37.6. lbs. of it was cucumbers! They are thriving!

The garden also had some caterpillar visitors this week. One will become a monarch butterfly and one will become a milkweed tussock moth. Both are loving the milkweed plants in the garden!
