A Higher Calling - Luke 6:27-49 (June 21, 2026)

Jesus calls us to nothing less than the imitation of his own perfect love, giving, and mercy to the whole world: to love like him, give like him, and show mercy like him. Without an assurance of God’s grace at work within us, equipping us for the tasks Jesus has called us to, this calling would be a heavy burden to bear. But praise God, we have a perfect example and teacher who is eternally present within us, shaping us to be like Him

We will be hosting a 3-day Vacation Bible School next month in cooperation with Child Evangelism Fellowship of Cambria County! All kids from K-5th grade in the community are invited to learn about how Jesus turns lives around!
Who is invited: All kids K-5th grade
When: July 13-15 (Mon-Wed) from 1:00-2:30pm each day
Where: Lincoln Terrace Community Room (1056 Washington Ave, Portage, PA 15946).

Forgiving with Authority - Luke 5:12-26 (May 17, 2026)

In the stories of a man with leprosy and a man who was paralyzed, we find that Jesus's ministry of cleansing and healing demonstrates his authority to forgive sins. And it is that authority that is our assurance, as we remember how Jesus is willing to make people clean when they come to him in simple faith.

How to Catch a Fisherman - Luke 5:1-11 (May 10, 2026)

When Jesus called four fishermen to follow him, he started by causing them to catch a miraculous number of fish. This served as a real-life parable of what following Jesus is like: living out our faith, whether strong or weak, with active obedience. We put our faith to work, even when it’s weak, because we strengthen our faith and our trust by allowing it to be tested and put to work.

Healing with Authority - Luke 4:31-44 (May 3, 2026)

In Capernaum, Jesus demonstrated three aspects of his ministry: Bringing a Word, Bringing Healing, and Bringing a Mission. The words that Jesus speaks give us direction and understanding, the authority that Jesus exhibits while healing gives us confidence and assurance, and the mission of Jesus is on the move.
