Our new Lent devotional started this past Sunday but your family can still begin one! Check out the website for both an adult devotional and a family devotional. For the family option, every Wednesday and Sunday through Easter has a bible verse to read and a fun couple of activities to do together. You can spread them out throughout the week or make family time to do them twice a week!

Portage Chapel Hill and Milwood UMC have partnered to put together a daily devotional booklet for the season of Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday March 2 and goes through Easter Sunday April 17. All kids in preschool - 8th grade are invited to be a part of the Palm Sunday worship service on April 10, and sing with the adult Chancel Choir. There will be rehearsals during Children in Worship, during the 10 am worship service, on March 20, March 27, and April 3. If your young person would like to participate, or if you have any questions, please contact Director of Children's Ministries Andrea Trantham at [email protected].

This Sunday we will be bringing back our Children in Worship program. Join us for church at 10am. Kids Pre K- 4th grade will be invited outside for a fun kid-centered worship experience. We will leave the sanctuary after Kids Time and parents can pick kids up on the playground after worship is done.

I am excited for Blessing of the Backpacks on Sunday. Be sure to bring your backpack (or laptop case or briefcase or however you transport your school things) to service at the church or on your screen. Each kid attending in person will receive a bag tag to bring home. If your family would like tags but can't attend service, let me know and I'll be sure they get to you!
