Confirmation classes will begin on Sunday, September 27. Students who are starting 8th grade (or above) are invited to attend. This will be a 2 year program for the students.

Dan needs to know who will be attending. You can reach out to him at church, by calling the church phone or by sending a message to this group. He needs to get contact information on each student PRIOR to the start of classes. This is very important.

He will be handing out requirement information, at the first class. Students will be required to attend services on Sundays.

Sunday School will begin on Sunday, September 27, following church services. All kids attending service are welcome to stay and enjoy learning more. Sunday School generally lasts 30-45 minutes. Please consider coming to service and bringing the kids. We have a lot of fun and learn a lot. Please reach out to Sonny, if you have any questions. You can also call the church, or message our page with any questions.

We were grateful for our visit from Bishop Kevin Shock, in July.

Church picnic date has been set. On September 13th, at 9:00 am, we plan to have church service at the Gazebo at the park and then move on up to the main shelter for social time, with donuts and snacks (while lunch is being prepared). This will allow time for those who would like to go home to get their covered dishes or change or what not.

The church will provide the hamburgers and hot dogs. We ask that those attending to please bring a covered dish. We will have some fun for the kids, as well as the adults.

All are welcome ... we can't wait to see you there.

For this Sunday's Curve Game I (Kim) will hand out tickets at game. Game starts at 6. I will probably be there at 4:45 and will meet you at top entrance to give you the tickets.
Also, I attached a picture to this message. I will have a sign up sheet in back of church for any interset in renting a bus to go to Washington Zoo next summer. If there is enough interest I can book it. If we still need to fill some seats we can open up to family and friends on a first come first serve basis.

Reminder Bishop Kevin Shock is coming to visit our church tomorrow. Fellowship to follow after service in church basement.
If you haven't paid for your shirt or Curve tickets please give money to Renee or Kim. If paying by check please write out to First Lutheran Church.
Again thanks to everyone who helps support the youth. With your support we can do bigger and better things with our youth.
Also, shirts will be handed out tomorrow after church service.
