Men - mark your calendars!!
That Man is You! begins September 6th! Modeled on some of the country’s leading men’s programs, That Man is You! combines Scripture, solid secular research, and a little fun to address the pressures and temptations facing men in our modern culture. It seeks to form authentic leaders who will be capable of transforming homes and society. Watch the bulletin for details or contact Kelly Lemens at 284-4266, [email protected]

St. Ben’s Needs Your Help!
Due to higher than usual demand, we are in need of a simple hamburger casserole dish once a month to feed those less fortunate at the St. Ben's Community Meal Site. This is a great way to volunteer without a huge time commitment. You can even make ahead of time and freeze to accommodate your schedule. When
erving this meal, I witness first hand what a difference these food donation makes, and hear the many appreciative comments from the guests. For more information please call JoAnn at 262-707-7860.

Please Join the Children’s Choir!
I’m excited to announce the beginning of the children’s choir again for
the 2017-2018 school year. The choir is open to all students, 3rd through 8th grade, whether they attend St. John XXIII Catholic school
or attend elsewhere. We will rehearse on Tuesdays from 3:30 until
4:30 at St. Peter’s church. Students at St. Mary’s can ride the large
country bus and will be dropped off at St. Peter’s for rehearsal. Simply let the driver know you are in the choir. Rehearsals will begin September 12.
To the grown up kids out there: If getting together with 30+ friends for some prayer, song, laughs, and good times please come join us at rehearsals! We welcome all and invite everybody from 14 on up to join us! (High school on up, again, grades 3-8 are encouraged to
join the children’s choir.) As a single choir, we will be rehearsing together from 7 pm until 9 pm every WEDNESDAY (note the new night!). In addition to preparing for our regular weekend Mass and upcoming feasts, we will break into the new Gather 3 hymnals, preparing to introduce it this upcoming Advent. Rehearsals start Wednesday, August 30 at St. Peter’s church site. Hope to see you there!
Top 5 Reasons to Join the Choir
5. You will be setting a good example for all the children, teenagers (and reluctant adults.)
4. People who are involved in music live longer and are healthier.
3. From our beloved St. Augustine: “To Sing is to pray twice!”
2. Deepen your understanding of the scripture, the best way to remember and learn the Bible
is to sing the Bible.
1. To serve the Lord—considering all that He does for us, this is a chance to give just a little
back to HIM!
