This group gathered tonight for our annual Easter basket assembly. Each basket was assembled for a child currently being assisted by Family Promise of Ozaukee County, and we trust they will bring some joy to the 24 kids and families who will receive them. We even had some extra goodies left to make 2 gift baskets for the incredible staff who work at Family Promise. What a great way to share God’s love with our neighbors this Easter season!

Our Lighthouse building has a beautiful new sign! This will make it easier for people to know where we're at and help get our name out in the community. Big thanks to members of the Lighthouse board as well as the trustees committee at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church for making it happen!

Want to hear some good news? Come to tonight's Lenten worship, hosted by Lighthouse Youth Ministry! Chili & hot dogs on the menu for supper starting at 5:30 at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, followed by worship in the Lighthouse building next door led by our youth. See you there!

Last night, a group of students from Lighthouse as well as Vineyard Church gathered to assemble 184 birthday kits (a new record for us)! A huge thank you to the members of Christ the King Lutheran, Living Hope Lutheran, First Congregational Church, Parkside Community United Church of Christ, Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, and Vineyard Church for donating the supplies to make this project possible again this year! The kits will be donated to The Food Pantry, Inc., Ozaukee Food Alliance, and Family Sharing of Ozaukee County, Inc. to ensure their clients are able to enjoy a birthday celebration. 🥳

On Sunday, a group from Lighthouse as well as some new friends from the EPIC youth group in Cedarburg gathered at First Congregational Church, for a fun afternoon of Winter Olympic inspired games. We divided into 3 teams and held competitions in speed skating, slalom skiing, hockey, curling, bobsled, and skeleton! Then we ended with some Olympic inspired snacks and a short devo looking at passages where the Bible compares our life of faith to running a race and striving for the ultimate prize. It was a great event!

This afternoon, a group of 6 youth and 3 adults spent some time at America's Black Holocaust Museum in Milwaukee. We joined several other church groups from around the Greater Milwaukee Synod, ELCA for this joint event to learn and reflect through a guided tour of the museum followed by a time of discussion. This was an especially timely event with the celebration of MLK Day this week, and also the numerous examples of racial injustice happening in our nation right now. We are thankful for the opportunity and invite everyone to remember our call as Christians to work for justice and peace in the world ❤️

Today's the day!!!

Be sure to join us tonight from 5:00-7:30 at Parkside Community United Church of Christ for a delicious spaghetti dinner, live music from the incredible Bella Musik, and the chance to bid on more than 175 amazing silent auction items! Tickets are $15 (kids 10 and under are free) and will be sold at the door.

Doors open at 5:00 and food will be served until 7:30. Carry-outs are also an option for supper, and gluten free and vegetarian accommodations are available as well. The silent auction items will have staggered closings of 6:30, 6:45, and 7:00 with tons of amazing deals on restaurant gift certificates, oil changes, spa services, incredible gift baskets, sports tickets, family fun experiences, holiday gifts, and so much more! Thank you so much to all of the generous businesses, churches, and individuals who have donated items for this year's auction!

And best of all, all the proceeds from the event go to support the ongoing work of Lighthouse Youth Ministry, including our upcoming summer 2026 service trip to Nashville and other youth programming and community outreach efforts. Only one more week to go before our Giving Tuesday Spaghetti Supper & Silent Auction on December 2, and we’ve been hard at work getting donated items ready! Tonight we celebrated our annual Friendsgiving night! Every year, students are asked to bring a menu item to share based off a particular theme to create a fun and unique potluck dinner. This year’s theme…miniature foods! And what goes great with mini foods? Giant games 😁 From mini pot pies and doughnuts to giant Jenga and Tic Tac Toe, we had a great night hanging out and giving thanks for the ministry of Lighthouse.
