Friends, the work part of our Youth Mission trip to Costa Rica is finished. Our youth worked really hard and well. We painted the inside and part of the outside of the Children’s Home Dining Room. This involved sanding, filling cracks with compound, applying painter’s tape, and 3 coats of paint on walls, windows and bars. We can be proud of this group!
In addition, they played soccer and volleyball with the children here, and we ate dinner at theirs houses with their “cottage parents” (to borrow a phrase from our Residing Hope).
Our gratitude to Matias, a remarkable 20-year old man who directed our work and lived with us for the week. He is an energizing Bunny. His idea of resting was playing volleyball as we waited for a coat of paint to dry before applying the next layer.
Noah and Joel shared their testimony with workers during a devotional, a powerful witness to God’s work on their lives.
Today, Saturday, we get an excursion to La Paz Waterfall and Refuge. We will see all kinds of birds, mammals, and nature in general.
