Today, we pause to honor the hardworking men and women who faithfully show up each day—providing for their families, serving others, building our community, and making a difference in ways both big and small.

Whether your work happens in an office, a classroom, a hospital, a jobsite, a restaurant, at home, or behind the scenes where few people see it—your work matters.

God can use the work of our hands to bless others and make our community stronger. ❤️

💧 11 LIVES. 11 STORIES. MADE NEW. 💧

What a beautiful day at City Church! ❤️

Today, 11 incredible people stepped into the waters of baptism and publicly declared, “I have decided to follow Jesus!”

We are so proud of each and every one of you. Baptism is more than a moment or a tradition—it is an outward declaration of an inward transformation. The old has passed away. You have been MADE NEW!

📖 “We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead… we too may live a new life.” — Romans 6:4

Today we celebrate new life, new beginnings, and faith made public.

To every person who was baptized today: your church family is standing with you, praying for you, and celebrating this next step in your walk with Jesus. This isn’t the finish line—it’s the beginning of an incredible journey of following Him. ❤️

11 people went into the water.
11 people came up declaring JESUS.
Made new. Made alive. Moving forward in faith.

Welcome to the new life. 🌊🙌

🌾 WHO’S IN YOUR FIELD?

How many people do we pass every single day without ever really seeing them?

We see the cashier… but do we see the single mom trying to hold her family together?

We see the waiter… but do we see the college student quietly wondering if life has any meaning?

We see the angry coworker… but do we see the loneliness they go home to every night?

We notice the family that hasn’t been at church… but do we stop to wonder what they might be walking through?

Today, Pastor Tim challenged us to SEE PEOPLE differently.

The harvest is ready. And there is urgency to the harvest. If we wait too long, an overripe harvest is lost.

So who is in YOUR field?

Think of 3 people God has already placed around you.

Not 3 projects.
Not 3 people to “fix.”
3 people to genuinely love.

Learn their story. Listen to them. Walk with them through the hard things. Pray for them. Pray WITH them. Be present. Build a real relationship. And when the opportunity comes, invite them to come to church with you.

You don’t have to travel across the world to find your mission field.

It may be standing behind a register.
Serving your table.
Sitting across from you at work.
Living next door.
Or sitting in a house wondering if anyone noticed they haven’t been around.

The harvest is right in front of us.

The time is NOW. 🌾

Because people are not interruptions to ministry.

PEOPLE ARE THE MINISTRY.

💧 MADE NEW | NOW IS THE TIME

Baptism isn’t something we have to wait for until we know more of the Bible, have everything figured out, or finally feel “good enough.”

Pastor Tim shared about the importance and urgency of baptism. When you have decided to follow Jesus, don’t keep putting off your next step of obedience.

You don’t have to wait until you know more.
You don’t have to wait until you feel worthy.
You don’t have to wait until you feel like you have everything figured out.

Jesus forgives. Jesus redeems. Jesus makes us NEW. 💧

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17

And as Pastor Gerald sings, “I Will Follow Jesus,” we’re reminded of what baptism declares:

I have decided.
The old is gone.
I have been made new.
I WILL FOLLOW JESUS. 🙌
