Due to rain, the March for Life that was scheduled for today at 1 pm in Port St Lucie is rescheduled to next Saturday (February 7) at 1 pm in Port St Lucie.

Tomorrow is the big day for the 16th Annual Treasure Coast March For Life. We have speakers including a City Councilman and County Commissioner and REC State Committeewoman. We have speakers from Personhood Florida, SLC Sanctuary For Life, CareNet, Sidewalk Advocates For Life, 40 Days For Life, Turning Point USA, Respect Life from the Diocese of Palm Beach, Life Can and Helpline. Then we go out to US 1 for a Life Chain extending from Tiffany Rd. to Walton Rd.
Parking available at Seacoast Bank at US1 and Tiffany.
If concerned about weather, check here after 12 pm. Decision will be made then.
Hope you can come with some friends and speak for those who have no voice.

Dear Treasure Coast and Palm Beach Pro-Lifers,

We have great news about a National Pro-Life Speaker coming to speak in Port St Lucie on Friday, August 11th. Mr. Mark Lee Dickson, the founder of Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn, has made time in his very busy schedule to visit us! His movement has helped over 65 cities and three counties become abortion free. And he is working on more! And yet he is willing to take the time out of his very busy schedule to visit us, right here in Port Saint Lucie on Friday, August 11th at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Here's more about Mark:

Mark Lee Dickson serves as a Director with Right to Life of East Texas and is the founder of the Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn Initiative. Dickson is, perhaps, best known for leading 67 cities and three counties across the United States in the passing of enforceable ordinances outlawing abortion within their city limits. According to the Washington Times, Dickson may also be the first to have been sued in a defamation lawsuit by the abortion industry for calling abortion murder. In February 2023, the Supreme Court of Texas sided in Dickson's favor. Dickson was also the only non-government actor named as a defendant in the federal lawsuit regarding the Texas Heartbeat Act, which was heard before the Supreme Court of the United States. In December 2021, all nine Justices agreed that the case against Dickson should be dismissed. This year, Dickson has been featured in two books: The Story of Abortion in America: A Street-Level History 1652–2022 by Marvin Olasky and Leah Savas, published by Crossway, and Roe: The History of a National Obsession by Mary Ziegler, published by Yale University Press.

As some of you may now, we've created SLC Sanctuary For Life (a chapter of Personhood Florida) a non-profit pro-life organization that is going to rid our beautiful county of abortion and its 2 abortion clinics. Mark has carved out some time to come and help guide us toward this goal. This meeting is just what we need as we pursue this goal, but also perfect for the pro-lifers in Palm Beach, Martin, Indian River and other counties who want to learn how to rid their areas of the scourge of abortion.

So we have arranged to have Mark visit and share with us on Friday August 11 at 7 PM. at the Holy Family Parish Hall for this meeting. 40 Days for Life National Leader brings message of the "Beginning of the End of Abortion" to Port St. Lucie

Steve Karlen, the National Campaign Director of the peaceful, prayerful, effective 40 Days for Life project, will tell the story of this groundbreaking effort in Port St. Lucie on Sunday, March 21. Karlen will be speaking at Planned Parenthood, which is set for Noon at 1696 SE Hillmore Dr (please park at Seacoast Bank at the corner of US1 and Tiffany). "People in Port St. Lucie have made extraordinary sacrifices to expose the abortion industry and to protect pre-born children and their mothers from abortion," Karlen said. "I'm honored to be able to join these folks in prayer. Their efforts illustrate why we're seeing historic changes – more mothers choosing life, more abortion workers experiencing conversions and leaving the abortion industry, and more abortion centers closing their doors for good."

Steve is an energetic, enthusiastic speaker and we know he will be an inspiration. Port St. Lucie is one of the communities around the world conducting simultaneous 40 Days for Life campaigns from February 17 through March 28th. 40 Days for Life is an intensive campaign that focuses on 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion, peaceful vigil at abortion facilities, and grassroots educational outreach. Since 40 Days for Life began, more than 17,000 mothers have chosen life for their children; over 200 abortion workers have quit their jobs; and more than 100 abortion centers where 40 Days for Life vigils have been held have gone out of business.

Karlen currently serves as 40 Days for Life’s campaign director, traveling to cities in the United States and Canada to support local 40 Days for Life efforts. He previously led local 40 Days for Life campaigns in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2009 and 2010, he helped lead a volunteer effort that was organized to prevent the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics from opening up a late-term abortion center near the campus in Madison. After a grueling 16-month campaign, the university health system cancelled its abortion plans, later citing the work of Karlen and his team as the reason for making that decision.
