Delroy Cooper explains that spiritual growth requires consistent training and self-discipline. 🙏🏽

Just as an athlete must continually train, our walk with God requires us to keep working on ourselves, submitting to His correction, and allowing Him to shape our character. God’s discipline isn’t something we graduate from. It is an ongoing process of learning, surrendering, growing, and becoming. As we consistently submit to His training, we begin to understand more clearly who He has called us to be and the purpose He has called us to fulfill.

Keep training. Keep surrendering. Keep growing. God is still working on you. ✝️

Delroy Cooper reminds us: What you’re facing is not insurmountable. 🙏🏽

The challenges before you can become opportunities for growth, deeper faith, and preparation for God’s purpose.

Even in difficult seasons, pursue peace, purity, and excellence. Don’t allow the weight of the moment to convince you that you cannot overcome it.

God can use the journey to develop what He has placed within you.

Keep going. Keep trusting. Keep growing. What you’re facing is not insurmountable.

Amen! 🙌🏽

Paul's Faith: The Paideia Discipline Explained

Delroy Cooper explains the meaning of “paideia.” In the New Testament, the Greek word paideia carries the idea of training, instruction, correction, and discipline that develops a person toward maturity. Just as ancient warriors trained for battle and athletes disciplined themselves for competition, believers are called to embrace spiritual training that strengthens our faith and develops godly character.

Discipline isn’t simply punishment. It is preparation. God uses instruction, correction, and even difficult seasons to mature us and prepare us for the race we have been called to run. 🏃🏽‍♂️✝️

Don’t despise the training. God may be developing you through it.

Faith & Hunger: My College Journey of Survival
Delroy Cooper shares: “I went by faith.” 🙏 Faith doesn’t always mean the journey will be comfortable. Sometimes faith means continuing when resources are limited, the road is difficult, and you don’t know how your needs will be met. And looking back, he can testify that God carried him through. 🙌🏽

Faith and Discipline: The Painful Path to Purpose

Delroy Cooper explains that true faith requires discipline of the mind, body, and spirit. 🙏

The trials we face are not always meant to stop us. Sometimes, God uses difficult seasons to strengthen us, shape our character, and prepare us to fulfill His purpose.

Those who walked by faith before us endured hardship, remained steadfast, and kept moving forward. Their example reminds us to stay focused, trust God through the process, and run our race with endurance. 🏃‍♂️✝️

What might God be developing in you through the season you’re facing right now?

God's Purpose_ Embracing Challenges for Your Calling
Delroy Cooper explains how the challenges we face can prepare us for God’s greater purpose.

Throughout Scripture, God used ordinary people, difficult circumstances, and unexpected moments to accomplish His plan of salvation, ultimately leading to Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross.

The challenge you’re facing may not be stopping your purpose. God may be using it to prepare you for it. 🙏

Jesus' Sacrifice_ God's Purpose for Our Salvation

Delroy Cooper explores the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ, His ultimate sacrifice, and the divine purpose behind His suffering and humiliation.

Jesus’ journey to the cross was not without purpose. Through His suffering, God’s plan for our salvation was fulfilled, revealing the depth of His love, grace, and redemption for humanity.

Sometimes the blessing comes through the struggle. 🙏

Jacob wrestled with God through the night and walked away forever changed. He received the blessing he desperately sought, but he also left with a limp—a lasting reminder that his true strength was not found in himself, but in God.

There are times when our struggles leave a mark. Yet even in our weakness, God can reveal His strength, reshape our identity, and deepen our dependence on Him.

Jacob left the encounter limping, but he also left blessed. ❤️

Sometimes the greatest victory begins with surrender.

Frederick Buechner describes Jacob’s encounter at the Jabbok River as a profound defeat of the human soul by God. Jacob wrestled through the night, refusing to let go until he received a blessing. But he walked away from that encounter changed—wounded, humbled, blessed, and given a new name.

There are moments when God allows us to wrestle—not to destroy us, but to transform us. We may enter the struggle relying on our own strength, but we come out understanding how deeply we need His.

Jacob walked away with a limp, but he also walked away with a blessing.
