Luke 6:46 ESV
âWhy do you call me âLord, Lord,â and not do what I tell you?â
[Ref: https://bible.com/bible/59/luk.6.46.ESV]
Jesus asks of us a question that cuts to the core. Why do you say that I am Lord, He asks, yet not obey me? This is particularly poignant in light of the meaning of the word translated âLordâ. It is from the Greek word âKyriosâ meaning, might, power, Lord, master, owner; God.

Here are some ways kyrios is used in the Bible:
-In the Septuagint translation of the Hebrew Bible: Kyrios is used about 7,000 times to translate the name YHWH (the Tetragrammaton).
-In the New Testament: Kyrios appears about 740 times, usually referring to Jesus.
-In Luke's writings: Kyrios is used 210 times.
-In Matthew 10:24-25: "Students are not greater than their teacher, and slaves are not greater than their master"

Simple â Matthew 22:37-40, Matthew 25:31-41, and Matthew 28:18-20
Godâs commandments seem burdensome when we allow Satan to influence our perspective, i.e. Luke 4:5-8, but we can defeat the devil through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
