Exodus 20:4–6 reminds us of a powerful truth: God doesn’t share His place in our lives.

We may not bow to carved images today, but it’s still easy to let other things take His place—success, money, relationships, or even our own desires. Anything we put above God becomes an idol.

The message is clear: we can’t serve two masters or hold divided loyalty. God calls for our whole heart, not just a portion of it. And in return, He shows faithful love to those who are fully devoted to Him.

Today is a good moment to reflect—what might be competing for first place in our lives? Let’s choose to put God back where He belongs: at the center.

James 4:4 reminds us: “Friendship with the world means enmity against God.”

In a culture that constantly pulls us toward compromise, this verse is a clear call to stand firm in our faith. We’re not meant to blend in with every trend or value that goes against God’s truth. Instead, we are called to live set apart—choosing His way even when it’s difficult or unpopular.

Being “not of the world” doesn’t mean we withdraw from it, but that we live differently within it—loving others, walking in integrity, and keeping our hearts aligned with God above all else.

Today, let’s reflect: Where might the world be influencing us more than God’s Word? And how can we realign our lives to reflect Him more clearly?

We are grateful to be able to offer a food drop for members of our community who are truly in need — especially those who are currently ill, facing unexpected hardship, or caring for infants in the home.
If you are walking through a difficult season and need a little extra support putting food on the table, this is for you. We understand that life can bring circumstances beyond our control, and we want to come alongside those who could use a helping hand right now.
We do ask that this resource be reserved for individuals and families experiencing genuine need. Our goal is to ensure that those who are facing illness, financial hardship, or caring for little ones have access to the support available.
If that’s you, please don’t hesitate to reach out. 💛 If you’re in a stable position, the best way to help is by sharing this post or supporting the effort in other ways.
Together, we can care for one another well.

This verse hits deep in a world where truth can feel blurred and values are constantly shifting. It’s a reminder to stay grounded, to seek wisdom, and to have the courage to discern what is truly right—even when it’s not popular.

May we not be swayed by confusion or convenience, but instead pursue truth through the word of God.
