Today we had the joy of gathering for a luncheon to celebrate and thank our City Light Kids volunteers.

As I looked around the room, I couldn't help but think about the countless ways these men and women have impacted the lives of our children. Week after week, they show up, learn names, answer questions, wipe tears, share God's Word, and point kids to Jesus.

Many of them may never fully know the impact they're making. A child may not remember every lesson, but they'll remember the people who made them feel loved, seen, and valued.

I am so grateful for each person who serves in our children's ministry. Thank you for faithfully investing in the next generation. The seeds you are planting matter, and God is using them in ways we may not see for years to come. 💛

🥞☕️ **BREW & CHEW FOR CAMP — A THANK YOU BREAKFAST!**

God has been so good. Because of your generosity, our students received a steep discount for summer camp — and with the commitment of our families, camp will officially be paid for! 🙌🏕️

This Sunday, May 31st, our students would love the chance to serve *you* breakfast as a heartfelt thank you for the prayers, encouragement, and support you’ve poured into the next generation. ❤️

Join us at our usual **9:30 AM** fellowship time for breakfast before worship begins at **10:00 AM**!

🚫 Donations will not be accepted — this morning is simply about gratitude and fellowship!

Today was such a beautiful reminder that God is still changing lives. 🌊✝️

We celebrated beach baptisms, new beginnings, bold steps of faith, and public declarations of following Jesus. What a joy it is to watch people say “yes” to Him and be surrounded by a church family cheering them on.

“He makes all things new.” — Revelation 21:5

🍔🌭 KCA FIELD DAY – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🌭🍔

We’ve got a chance to serve up something special (literally) at KCA Field Day on Friday, May 8th—and we need your help!

We’re looking for a few brave souls (and grill enthusiasts) to help cook and serve hamburgers and hot dogs for students, staff, and families. It’s a fun, fast-paced morning and a great way to show God’s love in a simple, meaningful way.

⏰ When: May 8th
• Students arrive: 8:30 a.m.
• Cooking starts: 9:30 a.m.
• Lunch served: 11:00 a.m.

Whether you’re a grill master or just willing to lend a hand, we’d love to have you! This is one of those moments where being the hands and feet of Jesus looks a lot like handing someone a hot dog with a smile.

From joyful children’s activities, to the meaningful Resurrection table, to a delicious breakfast shared in fellowship—it was a morning full of life, connection, and purpose.

Most importantly, the Word was opened, the Gospel was proclaimed, and Jesus was lifted high. Just as the Scriptures tell us—Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day.

And there is something so special—so sacred—about when the whole church comes together. Young and old, families and friends, all gathered as one body… just as Scripture describes.

✨ “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.” (Psalm 133:1)

It was beautiful. He is risen—and we rejoice together. 💛

🌿 Who Was Annie Armstrong? 🌿

You may hear us talk about the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering this time of year… but who was Annie Armstrong?

Annie Armstrong (1850–1938) was a passionate follower of Jesus who had a heart for people and a deep desire to see the Gospel shared across North America. She was one of the first leaders of the Woman’s Missionary Union and worked tirelessly to support missionaries, encourage churches, and help meet needs in communities that were often overlooked.

She wrote thousands of letters by hand to missionaries—encouraging them, advocating for them, and helping make sure they had what they needed to continue their work. Annie believed that everyone deserved to hear about the hope of Jesus. Because of her faithfulness, her legacy lives on today through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, which helps support missionaries sharing the Gospel right here in the U.S. and Canada.

✨ When you give, you’re continuing a story that started with one woman who simply said “yes” to God. Let’s be part of that story together. 💛
