New Year's Eve is almost here. Looking for something to do then? Why not head out to the KC Hall on Dec. 31 for the New Year's Eve Gala. The social with appetizers runs from 6-7 p.m. with a silent auction to run from 6:30-11 p.m. A ribeye steak dinner will be served from 7-8:30 p.m., and a dance will run from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with music by The Majestics. There will also be a midnight champagne toast, while beer and set-ups will be available for purchase. The cost to attend is $50 per person, and proceeds benefit the OLG Capital Campaign. To purchase tickets, call the church office at 361-552-6140. Only a limited number of tickets will be sold, so make sure to get your tickets soon!

Don't forget to join us for the 100th anniversary celebration of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church! The celebration is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. THIS SUNDAY - Nov. 24 - inside the church. After a short service, a Eucharistic Procession will be held around the area. After the procession ends back in the church with benediction, everyone is invited to a covered dish supper at St. Jude Hall. Each family should bring a meat and vegetable dish or a meat dish and dessert to share with everyone. Make sure to join us for this historic event celebrating 100 years of our church!

All Souls Day Mass was held Saturday morning at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Parishioners then processed, praying the Rosary, to Port Lavaca Cemetery for a brief service to pray for the dead.

The annual parish festival is Sunday, Sept. 15, at the Bauer Community Center. Donations are still being accepted and raffle tickets are still on sale.

Also, Mass times will be adjusted that Sunday. The 8 a.m. Mass remains, while the second Mass will be moved to 9:30 a.m. and the Spanish Mass will be moved to 11 a.m. Mass times will move back to their regular time slots on Sunday, Sept. 22.
