y The Lord would use him when he experienced a visitation from the Holy Spirit for the first time. By age 20, he was ministering The Gospel in The Philippines in villages that had never before heard the name "Jesus" . Nathan obeyed a call from The Lord to found a home church in February 1986, and Port Lavaca Christian Fellowship was born. Port Lavaca Christian Center, as it has been called for more than 25 years, is located in Port Lavaca, Texas, near the Gulf of Mexico. It is primarily a ministry "outpost" for missions, as most efforts are focused on what The Lord is doing abroad in the lives of the poor, needy and broken. Nathan has traveled extensively in his 35+ years in ministry, and the past 11 years has concentrated most mission efforts in Mexico. Pastor Nathan and our ministry team continue to follow that original call to preach the Gospel to the poor...to "go to the highways, byways and hedges" to have a burden to share Jesus with the world, exercising the gift of prophecy to 1) edify the church and 2) call sinners to repentance, as 1 Corinthians 14 instructs. We believe we aren't meant to die on our comfortable church chairs, to achieve a social status or to attain wealth or position, but rather to GO, as Matthew 16 instructs us to do. The pure, unadulterated WORD is preached, and we pray the seed lands on good soil (Matt 13), bear fruit, and that the fruit will remain (John 15:16). Our numbers are few, our message of the Gospel is simple--yet tough--and are hearts follow just one voice--the voice of the Shepherd (John 10:27). and abroad contact Pastor Nathan because they need a word from The Lord, and he is happy to pray with you. 🇭🇳 THE HONDURAN HARVEST

What happens when the Gospel goes forth in POWER?

People respond. Lives are changed. And the harvest comes in. 🌾

We recently had the privilege of taking the Gospel to Honduras, preaching at Breaking the Chains Ministry with Mauricio and Aleta Gomez, ministering to 140+ residents and their families, and watching the Lord Jesus move in powerful ways.

This short highlight film captures just a glimpse of what we witnessed—the faces, the prayers, the preaching, and the men responding to the message of Jesus Christ.

Because it isn’t about one man. It’s Jesus. It’s faith in His Word. It never fails!

OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE.

What a powerful last service on this trip. 🇭🇳

We met in the smaller building — a garage-turned-rehab location — instead of the larger church sanctuary. But it was perfect.

The residents are packed into this humble place.

(We think our Lord Jesus would approve.)

Pastor Nathan preached on the God-shaped hole that we all possess.

NOTHING can fill that—but Him. Not drugs. Not alcohol. Not s*x. Not money.

That is true whether you’re an impoverished Honduran
struggling with addiction…

Or a suburban American trying to fill that void with less sinfully-obvious distractions.

None will fill it—but GOD.

And since our God is a consuming fire, He burns up every impurity in us that separates us from Him. (Hebrews 12:29)

He changes our desires…completely.

And eventually, we become a river of living water that flows into others around us (John 7:38). We manifest the nature of Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38). 🌱

We hunger for His Word, and fill ourselves with it. 📖

As Pastor was speaking, a man named Andreas, who was in physical pain in his neck, came to the front to receive healing.

He said he was a believer. He was very humble and sincere.

Pastor Nathan didn’t pray for him. He didn’t have to.

Pastor continued to preach on this consuming fire, and didn’t touch him. As he was standing there with the Word being preached, the pain left Andreas’ body. He started smiling and moving his neck. He said he felt a burning sensation like fire moving all over his neck. He was visibly hot.

Pastor explained that, as God burns like fire to remove impurities in our body, he’ll burn like fire to consume impurities in our soul, too.

Then all of the men came as close to the front as they could to receive prayer. They were so hungry and humble. They cried out loudly, asking God to touch them and change them permanently.

Then they laid hands on each other and prayed over one another so they may be wholly healed.

It was so powerful. 🔥

Day 2 🇭🇳

Pastor preached a message to the residents at the center on “The Nature of God” from Galatians 5. When you are BORN of God, you don’t strive. You just produce fruit — the LIFE and NATURE of God can be seen in you.
