The Parish of Infant Jesus extends its deepest gratitude to Bishop John Barres for joining us today for this historic and grace-filled occasion. Your presence and pastoral care as our shepherd are a great blessing to our parish community. Your visit strengthens our sense of unity with the Diocese and renews our shared commitment to building up the Kingdom of God in our midst.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many families whose generosity made our 125th Anniversary Capital Campaign possible. In part, these contributions funded the renovation of our Chapel, a project undertaken to honor our rich spiritual heritage while thoughtfully updating elements of the space to highlight and preserve its beautiful design. Through your generosity, we have renewed this sacred place for the prayer, worship, and reflection of generations to come.

The histories of Infant Jesus Parish and St. Charles Hospital are deeply and inextricably intertwined. Founded through the charisms and missionary spirit of the Montfort Missionaries and the Daughters of Wisdom, respectively, our communities share a profound bond rooted in the Church’s mission to bring people into an encounter with Christ and to make known the healing power of the Holy Spirit. We are especially honored to welcome the Daughters of Wisdom and the leadership of St. Charles Hospital as we gather to celebrate this shared sacred space and the enduring spiritual connection that unites us.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to all who contributed their time, gifts, and talents to make today’s liturgy so beautiful and joyful. To our music ministers, altar servers, lectors, ushers, and all those serving behind the scenes, thank you for the reverence, dedication, and enthusiasm with which you have served. Your generous service has helped make this celebration truly meaningful. May God abundantly bless you for all that you do.

As we celebrate this historic day, may the joy and grace we have experienced strengthen our faith, deepen our unity, and inspire us to be authentic and courageous proclaimers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the enduring richness of our Catholic faith. May the Lord continue to bless Infant Jesus Parish, St. Charles Hospital, the Daughters of Wisdom, and all who share in this sacred mission for many years to come
