The Knights of Columbus Council #4779 celebrated a significant milestone last night with the installation of our new officers. This crucial ceremony marks a new chapter of leadership and dedication within our council, reinforcing our commitment to service, faith, and brotherhood. We are honored to have District Deputy David Avila join us, guiding and inspiring us as we embrace our responsibilities. The installation of new officers is more than a formal event; it’s a renewal of our collective purpose and a reaffirmation of the principles that unite us. Together, we look forward to advancing our mission and making a meaningful impact in our Laguna Madre community. Viva Jesus! 🙏🏼

Today, we say thank you.

For the work you do, day in and day out.
For the steadiness, the patience, and the care you give, even when it goes unnoticed.
For every woman who mothers, in families, in friendships, in quiet, everyday ways.
And we’re grateful for the example of Mary, our Mother, who shows us what faithful love looks like.

We don’t always say it, but we are always grateful.

Happy Mother’s Day 💐

San Pedro Mission Corporate Mass

03/29/2026

On This Day: In 1882 in the basement of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, CT, a parish priest, Blessed Michael McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus. The principles of Charity, Unity and Fraternity that were the cornerstone back in 1882, are the same that we aim to uphold today.

The Knights of Columbus participated in Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #2569 to celebrate their 20th Anniversary. It was a pleasure to gather to commemorate service dedicated to our God. 🙏🏼

We thank God for the participation of some of our council members, along with Council #1553 (Brownsville), in their Corporate Mass at St. Eugene de Mazenod Church this morning. May God bless Council #1553 for recognizing two Altar Servers for their dedication to service to their Parish. We also thank the Lord for the generous $1,000 donation from Council #1553 to support the expenses of St. Eugene de Mazenod Church. 🙏🏼
