Thank you to all who attended this joyful celebration! Thank you to Dan Lundblad who had the vision! Thank you to the countless volunteers and community leaders supporting in the day-to-day! Thank you to all the churches and organizations that will continue to minister to Single parent families. What a blessing to have been part of this ministry.

Bridge Builders Counseling & Mentoring may be dissolving, but its impact on the lives of single parents will continue to be felt for years to come. The ministry's legacy of care, compassion, and support will live on in the hearts and minds of the people it has served. Lives were forever changed and will continue to ripple in our community.

Get financial help in Port Huron and St. Clair County Michigan. Find ways to get help with electric and utility bills, rent, mortgage relief, free food or stuff, and other financial help.

Dear Community,

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we are announcing our closing.

After several discussions, and many prayers, the Bridge Builder Board of Directors has unanimously decided it is time to close Bridge Builders Counseling & Mentoring (BBC&M), effective December 31, 2023. Over 27 years BBC&M has served several hundred single parents raising their children on their own with counseling and mentoring. We thank so many loyal supporters who have given their time and finances to provide these services to so many in our community.

We love this community, and know the spirit of helping others will continue on with the other amazing organizations in our community such as: The Athletic Factory, Operation Transformation, A Beautiful Me, Eastern Michigan Christian Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Hunter Hospitality House, SONS, and Blue Water Recovery Outreach Center (BWROC)

My prayer is that we all lean into what’s next and continue to be “Bridge Builders” moving forward in our lives and reaching back across the chasm of things that divide us to help the next person cross over to a new life!

My heart is broken and my hope is that the communities we touched and the individual lives changed in the past 29 years through this ministry, continue to ripple. I pray the seeds planted in families grow into beautiful new places supporting Single Parents and their children.

It is the great commission for us to take care of the widows the orphans. Please “church” open your doors to create these safe havens for our Single Parents. Mentor someone suffering.
So many homes have been broken with divorce,drugs, death, incarceration, and some, just left alone, to start on their own from the beginning.

As for Camp Cavell, we will continue to honor that commission with providing a safe support for single parents and their children. Several of the bridgebuilder babies came to camp this summer on scholarship and so many children came that are being raised by single parents from all socioeconomic backgrounds. We are creating new opportunities. Please pray for us as we create a space.

I wanted to share some of my favorite photos from last year. What great moments! ❤️I love you all! Remember, God‘s ways are not our ways, and are more beautiful then we could ever hope for in this life. Praying abundant blessings for the staff and families as we move into what’s next.
