Sometimes being the church looks a lot simpler than we think. ❤️
Last Sunday, Cherie (one of our leaders at the Cafe) had an idea: What if we wrote Bible verses on our coffee sleeves? As she talked about finding someone willing to write them, a voice from across the counter said, “I will do that.”
That voice was Abby Henry. 🥹
She was given a box of 1,000 coffee sleeves, and just one week later, every single one was finished.
One simple idea. One willing person. One thousand little opportunities to remind someone of God’s truth.
That’s what being the church looks like.
It doesn’t always require a microphone, a stage, or a ministry title. Sometimes it looks like writing Scripture on a coffee cup. Sometimes it’s sending an encouraging text, buying someone’s lunch, praying with a coworker, inviting someone to church, or simply noticing someone who needs to know they’re not alone.
You never know how God might use one small act of obedience to encourage someone right where they are.
So this week, look around. Find a way to be the church wherever God has placed you. You might be surprised at how far a little encouragement can go. 💙
And Abby—thank you for being willing. What a blessing you are! 🙌
