Peacemaking isn’t passive — it’s the courageous work of stepping into tension with the heart of Jesus. It’s choosing reconciliation over resentment, listening over winning, and healing over division. When we pursue peace, we reflect the character of the One who calls us His children.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9

Today, look for one place where you can bring calm, clarity, or compassion. That’s kingdom work.

A pure heart isn’t about perfection — it’s about direction. It’s choosing to seek God with honesty, to let Him shape our motives, and to keep returning to Him when we drift. Jesus promises that those who pursue God with that kind of sincerity will experience something priceless: they will see Him — His presence, His work, His goodness.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” — Matthew 5:8

Today, ask God to clear the noise and center your heart so you can see Him more clearly.

Mercy is more than a moment of kindness — it’s a posture shaped by the heart of God. Jesus reminds us that those who extend grace, forgiveness, and compassion don’t lose anything by doing so. In God’s kingdom, mercy given becomes mercy received.

“Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” — Matthew 5:7

Today, look for one place where you can choose mercy. God sees it, honors it, and meets you with His own.

There’s a hunger in every heart — a longing for things to be made right, for God’s goodness to shape our lives and our world. Jesus calls that longing blessed. When we crave His righteousness more than comfort, convenience, or control, He meets us with a promise: that hunger will not go unanswered.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” — Matthew 5:6

If your soul is longing for more of God today, He’s ready to satisfy.

The world teaches us to push harder, climb faster, and prove ourselves. But Jesus flips the script. He says the ones who truly flourish are those who choose humility over hurry, gentleness over dominance, and trust over control.

Meekness is strength that’s surrendered — not lost, but placed in God’s hands. And Jesus promises that those who live this way won’t miss out; they’ll receive everything God intends for them.

“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” — Matthew 5:5

Today, walk with a quiet confidence that comes from knowing God sees the posture of your heart.

Grief is real, and Jesus doesn’t dismiss it. Instead, He meets us right in the middle of it with a promise: those who mourn are not forgotten. God draws near, carries what we can’t, and brings comfort that reaches deeper than the pain.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4

If your heart is heavy today, may His comfort find you in a way you can feel.

In a world that rewards noise and force, Jesus blesses the quiet strength of a humble heart. Meekness isn’t weakness — it’s choosing gentleness, choosing trust, choosing God’s way even when it’s costly. And He promises that those who walk this path won’t lose out; they’ll inherit what truly matters.

“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” — Matthew 5:5

May we carry His gentleness into every conversation and every moment today.

What a Sunday at Port Charlotte Global Methodist Church
Yesterday was a beautiful day of worship as we celebrated our high school graduates and prayed over them as they step into a new season. Our church family is so proud of who they are and who they’re becoming, and we’re grateful for the chance to bless them as they take their next steps.

We also heard a powerful message from our Wisdom for Today series, reminding us that a life built on Jesus is a life that stands firm. From Matthew 7:24–27, we were challenged to not just hear God’s Word but to live it. From Matthew 6:33, we were called to seek God first in every decision. And 1 Corinthians 10:31 reminded us that whatever we do — big choices or everyday moments — we do it all for the glory of God.

God is shaping our graduates, our families, and our whole church to build on the Rock.

Grateful for a Sunday full of joy, wisdom, and celebration.

When your heart feels heavy and the path ahead looks dim, this verse pulls us back to the truth: our hope is not fragile. God is steady, present, and faithful in every season.

Let this be your reminder today—your soul can rest, because your God is near.

“Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.” — Psalm 42:11
