What a year this has been!!
Just when we are crawling out of the shadows of that pesky pandemic, Edgewater Saw What sewing ministry got walloped by Hurricane Ian. We are so blessed to report that all our members are safe and were unharmed. While Edgewater Church took a hit, we were so fortunate that our supply closet fared very well. It’s going to be a bit of a bumpy road to get back to (new) normal, but we will get there with God’s grace and lots of patience.
Due to the significant damage the church received, we are having to forgo our annual Christmas sale that we normally do in partnership with the Stitches of Love sewing ministry in the lobby of the church. Boohoo. But that doesn’t mean we can’t hold an online sale!! Yay!
We welcome anyone and everyone to peruse through the items we have currently available, with more items being added in the next few days. For our local friends, you are welcome to message us with an item you would like to purchase, and we will make it available for you to pay for and pick up in the church lobby on any of the upcoming Sundays. If you live out of the area and are interested in an item, please reach out to us and we will be happy to find the most viable shipping option to get you the item(s) you desire at the cheapest price.

Sew What!! Is a not-for-profit, meaning all the money generated from the items we make, gets turned around and put right back into the ministry to further projects like Sew Powerful, items and gifts to our area nursing homes, as well as donations of scrub caps for local hospitals and nursing personnel. If you were a first-time visitor at our church and took home one of the swanky blue gift bags, that bag was made and donated by the Sew What ministry. We can’t begin to express our gratitude to all who have supported our ministry over the last 2 and a half years.

Sew What!! has been gearing up for Christmas!! Our group of volunteers have been busy sewing various items that will make perfect homemade gifts for that special loved one.
