It was a privilege to attend the Florida-Bahamas Synod Assembly of the ELCA this past week. I am deeply proud of our Lutheran brothers and sisters and want to extend my gratitude to the Very Rev. Bishop Pedro Suarez, the Synod staff, and my congregation in Port Charlotte for allowing me to assist in preparing a sister church for its next pastor. I am also thankful to my brother, Rev. Matt Shapton, for the joy of serving communion and reading scripture during the opening and closing services. God is good!
Foi um privilégio participar da Assembleia do Sínodo Flórida-Bahamas da ELCA na semana passada. Estou profundamente orgulhoso de nossos irmãos e irmãs luteranos e quero expressar minha gratidão ao Reverendíssimo Bispo Pedro Suarez, à equipe do sínodo e à minha congregação em Port Charlotte por me permitirem auxiliar na preparação de uma igreja irmã para receber o seu/sua próximo(a) pastor(a). Também sou grato ao meu irmão, Rev. Matt Shapton, pela alegria de servir comunhão e de ler as Escrituras Sagradas durante os cultos de abertura e encerramento. Deus é bom!
