On June 21, Rev. Randall Brewster shared a Father's Day message titled “The Father Who Showed Up,”

Based on Jesus' words to Philip in John 14:8–9: “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.”

The sermon reminded worshipers that God is not distant, absent, or uninvolved. In Jesus Christ, God made Himself known in a personal and tangible way. When Philip asked to see the Father, Jesus pointed him—and us—to the reality that God's character, love, mercy, and faithfulness are fully revealed in Christ.

Bro. Brewster reflected on the importance of fathers and father figures who are present in the lives of their children, drawing a connection to the heavenly Father who continually shows up for His people. Whether in times of joy, uncertainty, failure, or need, God remains steadfast and present.

The congregation was encouraged to trust in God's faithful presence and to reflect that same commitment in their relationships with others. As followers of Christ, we are called to embody God's love through our availability, compassion, and faithfulness to those entrusted to our care.
