REV. and the late Maudell James of Sicily Island, Louisiana. God also gave me a loving stepmother, Nellie “Mamee” James, who taught me a lot and wouldn’t take any mess. With six brothers and two sisters, we were baptized by the Holy Spirit at a very young age. We had little choice. My father taught me the trade of upholstery and now I’m employed at the Paragon Casino doing upholstery and own a business in this trade. I graduated from Peabody Magnet High School. Math and music were my passions. After graduation, I enlisted in the United States Army, but God had other plans as the Holy Spirit grew stronger in me through life’s struggles. I am happily married to the second most important person in the word to me, my wife, my love, and my heart, Opal James. Together we have eleven children plus multiple grandchildren. So many blessings, too many to count. God is always good.
