What We Believe
About the Bible
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16). Therefore, we believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God and is alive (Hebrews 4:12) applicable to man today (1 Perter 1:25). The Word of God is the final authority and should be ta
ught in public, studied it in private, and used as a guide for our daily lives (Romans 15:4). About God
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the world (John 1:14). The Holy Spirit is God within us, gifted to the believers in Jesus to teach, comfort and empower us. (1 Corinthians 3:16)
About Man
We believe that all people were created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26) to have fellowship with Him but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience (Isaiah 59:2). As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts (Romans 3:10). About Salvation
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sins through repentance (Luke 24:47). Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who repent of their sin and place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. About the Christian Life
We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ. Christian service is part of the Christian life and is the responsibility of all believers. Our goal is to develop the ministry of every member to the benefit of all. (Ephesians 4:11-13)
About Spiritual Gifts
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercising of all Spiritual Gifts including the gift of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, healing, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, speaking in different kinds of tongues, the interpretation of tongues (1 Cor. 12 4-11). Each believer should desire the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 14: 1) and use them for the building up of the Church through the instruction of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 14:12).
About the Church
We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church. The Church, also known as the body of Christ, consists of those who have trusted by faith in Christ and are obedient to Him as their Lord. The purpose of the Church is to glorify God by loving Him, loving others, and making Him known by doing our part to share the Gospel Of Jesus and walk out the Great Commission.
