We are delighted to accept a $725 donation from the Mississippi Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators-MASFAA, with Dr. Jamie Missimer of PRCC serving as President. Each year, the President selects a charity to support, and we are grateful that Dr. Missimer has chosen Backpack Buddies for the second consecutive year. We appreciate being selected and extend our sincere gratitude.

Students from Mrs. Kelsey Campbell’s Marketing 1 class at the Career Development Center came to volunteer. They divided into groups and conquered the packing.

It’s such a privilege to attend the Coast Electric Round Up grant ceremony.
Each year recipients of a grant made possible through the Coast Electric Round Up program are invited to attend an event when they explain how their grant proceeds were used.
A plethora of different types of groups, agencies and facilities were recipients.
Thank you to all of the Coast Electric customers who choose to round up their bill so groups like Backpack Buddies of Poplarville can keep making a difference in our community.

Backpack has just demonstrated its resilience. Our food delivery was initially delayed, but our team quickly sprang into action. After learning that the truck line's lift was broken, we took matters into our own hands and showed up at Greer's CashSaver. Thanks to our board members and volunteers, we were able to pack 120 bags, ensuring our community's needs were met. This experience has shown us that even in the face of challenges, we can create a positive change.

Do you know what will make your day? When you have students from the Poplarville Career Development Center’s Smart Start class join forces with you to pack wagons. Teacher Brad Wells accompanied these students to the Backpack room this morning. They received a little history lesson about Backpack and how much dedication it takes to make this happen every week. Thank you Coach Wells and your class for your incredible support.

Every year, Poplarville Family Chiropractic, gives a donation.
When we were in need of food, they did food drives for us. Now that we are able to purchase food bags pre-filled they provide us with monetary donations.
