This Sunday our last voice, our Youth Pastor Jaime, lead us through 1 Samuel 2:12–17 where we were reminded that God deserves our very best not our leftovers.
The sons of Eli dishonored God by taking what belonged to Him, showing how easy it is to let distractions steal the worship that only God deserves. The enemy’s goal is to keep us from God’s presence, but worship, prayer, fasting, and His Word are the very things that prepare us for victory.
The Israelites discovered that battles aren’t won by our own strength or by treating God’s presence like a convenience. Victory begins in the secret place.
Let’s remember to:
• Give God our best. Don’t let the enemy take it.
• Worship is a lifestyle.
• Don’t be conformed, be transformed.
• God’s presence changes everything.
• Don’t forget His presence.
Just as God’s presence brought down Dagon, His presence still tears down the idols, strongholds, and habits that keep us from Him. He has a bigger plan. The question is will we let Him truly transform us?
