MORE THAN JUST A RIDE

There’s something special about the sound of a motorcycle, an open road, and a group of friends riding together.

But for us, it’s about more than the miles.

It’s about fellowship.
It’s about serving others.
It’s about praying with people who need hope.
And most of all, it’s about sharing Jesus wherever the road takes us.

We may ride different motorcycles.
We may come from different backgrounds.
But we ride with one purpose:

Changing the world, one heart at a time.

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Happy Labor Day from the SEMO Risen Riders! 🏍️

Today we’re thankful for the hardworking men and women who keep our communities moving—those who build, serve, teach, protect, repair, care, create, and put in the long hours day after day.

Labor Day is a good reminder that our work matters, but so does the rest God gives us.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…”

Whether you’re working today, spending time with family, or putting a few miles on the bike, we pray you have a safe and blessed Labor Day.

Day 7 — Remember the Destination

Scripture: John 14:6
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

A great motorcycle trip isn't just about the destination. The road itself becomes part of the story—the scenery, the stops, the people, even the unexpected detours.

Life is a journey too.

God has given us places to go, people to love, work to do, and memories to make along the way. But followers of Jesus should never forget where this road ultimately leads.

Our hope isn't in motorcycles, possessions, careers, or even the number of years we're given.

Our hope is Jesus.

And because of Him, the end of this road isn't really the end.

Enjoy the ride. Love people along the way. Keep following Jesus. We're headed home.

Day 6 — Nobody Rides Alone

Scripture: Galatians 6:2
“Carry each other's burdens…”

One of the great things about riding with others is knowing somebody has your back.

If a bike breaks down, everybody doesn't just wave and keep going. We stop. We help. We make sure our brother or sister isn't left behind.

That's a pretty good picture of what the church should look like.

Jesus didn't call us to follow Him in isolation. He gave us brothers and sisters to encourage, pray for, strengthen, and sometimes simply stand beside.

Look around today.

Someone in your life may be struggling more than you realize.

Don't just ride beside them. Walk with them. Pray with them. Love them like Jesus.

“Put on the full armor of God…”

Most experienced riders don't think protective gear means they're afraid to ride. It means they respect the risks of the road.

Scripture tells us to approach our spiritual lives with that same awareness.

Truth. Righteousness. Faith. Salvation. God's Word. Prayer.

We live in a world that constantly pulls our attention away from Jesus. We shouldn't be surprised when spiritual battles come—but we also don't have to face them unprepared.

Before you head into today's battles, gear up spiritually.

Helmet on. Armor on. Eyes on Jesus.

Day 4 — When Life Breaks Down

Scripture: Psalm 34:17-18

Sooner or later, every rider deals with something unexpected—a dead battery, a flat tire, mechanical trouble, or plans that suddenly fall apart.

Sometimes life breaks down too.

A job changes. A relationship struggles. A prayer seems unanswered. Something we counted on suddenly isn't there anymore.

Those moments don't mean Jesus has abandoned us.

Sometimes the side of the road becomes the place where we discover just how close He really is.

Call on Him. Trust Him. Let Him meet you right where you are.

Jesus isn't only Lord of the open highway. He's Lord of the roadside too.

Day 3 — Trust Him Through the Curves

Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6

Some of the best motorcycle roads aren't straight. They're full of curves, elevation changes, and places where you can't see what's waiting around the bend.

Life can feel that way too.

Jesus never promised us a perfectly straight road. He promised something better: His presence on the road with us.

When you can't see what's coming next, trust the One who can.

Lean into His Word. Keep your eyes where you're going. And don't let fear make you abandon the road God has called you to travel.

You may not see around the next curve, but Jesus does.

Day 2 — Keep Your Tank Full

Scripture: John 6:35
Jesus said, “I am the bread of life.”

Every rider knows what happens when you ignore the fuel gauge long enough. Eventually, you're sitting beside the road instead of riding down it.

Our spiritual lives aren't much different. We can't continually pour ourselves out without being filled again.

Prayer. Scripture. Worship. Time with Jesus.

These aren't just religious routines—they're where our hearts are refueled.

Before you worry about how far you have to travel today, spend some time with the One who gives you strength for the journey.

Don't try to ride through life on empty.
