I met Susan in Russellville Ar. She is riding from North Carolina to Salt Lake City in this Pan Am. She’s going to see her friend Doug who has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I was able to pray with her and Doug. Please take a minute and pray that Doug has a miracle and Susan gets there and back safe.

Philippians 4:4 calls us to rejoice in the Lord, not because every situation is easy, but because God is always worthy and always near. Christian joy is rooted in Christ, not circumstances, giving us strength and hope in every season.

Psalm 139:14 reminds us that every person is intentionally and wonderfully made by God. David responds with praise because he recognizes that life is not random or accidental—God’s hand is in our very design.

Psalm 23:4 reminds us that faith does not mean we never walk through dark valleys. It means we do not walk through them alone.

David speaks with confidence because God’s presence is greater than the danger around him. The “rod and staff” show God’s protection and guidance—He defends us from what can harm us and gently leads us when we don’t know the way forward.

This verse is a comfort in fearful seasons: the valley may be real, but so is the Shepherd.

If a group of Christian riders heads out on a Sunday morning, prays together, encourages each other, talks about Jesus, and ministers to people along the way…

Is that “skipping church,” or is that church outside the building?

Matthew 16:26 reminds us that success, wealth, popularity, and possessions are temporary, but the soul is eternal. Jesus is warning that no earthly gain is worth losing our relationship with God. A person can have everything the world offers and still be empty if they are separated from Christ.

The verse calls us to examine what we are chasing. Nothing is more valuable than a soul surrendered to God.
