Good morning, Abundant Life family! ☀️🙌

“Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” — Ephesians 5:20

Today, let’s choose gratitude, praise, and worship! ❤️

Hebrews 13:15 reminds us to continually offer up a sacrifice of praise. Psalm 100:4 tells us to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. And 1 Thessalonians 5:17–18 reminds us to pray without ceasing and give thanks in all circumstances.

No matter what this week has looked like, God is still worthy of our praise! 🙌

Let’s gather together this morning and lift up the name of Jesus. Come expecting, come thankful, come ready to worship, and come ready to hear what God has for you!

And remember… YOU are the house! 🏠❤️ The presence of God doesn’t just meet us in a building—we carry His presence with us!

📖 Even Though We Aren’t Gathering in Church This Sunday… Let’s Keep Growing in God’s Word! 🙏

Since we won’t be having church service this Sunday due to the high heat advisory, I hope to encourage you to continue our study in 1 Corinthians 3:1–16, where where Pastor Charlie was teaching last Sunday about the difference between being carnal and spiritual.

This is a great opportunity to take some time at home, open your Bible, and continue studying what God is speaking to us through His Word. ❤️

Are we living according to our flesh, or are we allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us?

1 Corinthians 3 challenges us to examine our spiritual growth, our hearts, and the way we are building our lives on the foundation of Jesus Christ.

📖 Read: 1 Corinthians 3:1–16
🙏 Pray: “Lord, show me where I am walking in the flesh instead of being led by Your Spirit.”
💭 Reflect: What areas of my life do I need to surrender more fully to God?

Even when we can’t gather together in the church building, we can still gather around God’s Word. Let’s continue growing, learning, and becoming who God has called us to be!

❤️ We may not be together physically this Sunday, but we can still be united in one Spirit and one purpose—growing closer to Jesus.

Due to the high heat advisory expected this weekend, we will NOT be having church service on Sunday, August 16th, 2026.

The safety and well-being of our church family is our priority. ❤️ Please stay cool, stay hydrated, and take care of yourselves and your families!

🎉 Happy Anniversary, Pastor Charlie & Jessica! ❤️

Today we celebrate not only your wedding anniversary, but also the beautiful example of a Christ-centered marriage that you share with our church family.

Just like Jessica said, "Marriage isn't built on grand moments alone—it's built in the daily choice to love like Christ loves." Through faith, grace, patience, and unwavering commitment, you have shown what it means to walk together with God at the center of your lives.

Thank you for your faithful leadership, your servant hearts, and for being an encouragement to so many. Your love for one another reflects the love of Christ and is a blessing to everyone who knows you.

May the Lord continue to strengthen your marriage, fill your home with joy and peace, and bless you with many more years of love, laughter, and ministry together.

The Presence of God Changes Everything

In Joshua 3, Israel stood before an overflowing Jordan River with no way across. Before God performed the miracle, He gave them one instruction: Follow My presence.

The Ark of the Covenant went before the people, reminding them that God’s presence—not their own ability—was their source of victory. The river didn’t stop flowing until the priests stepped into the water in faith, carrying the presence of God.

As a church family, we are reminded that God still goes before His people. Whatever obstacle you may be facing today, don’t focus on the size of the river. Focus on the One who is leading you. When we follow His presence in faith, He makes a way where there seems to be no way.

Let’s be a people who seek His presence above His promises, His voice above the noise, and His will above our own plans. The safest place to be is wherever God is leading.

“Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” — Joshua 3:5

May we walk in faith, trust His leading, and expect Him to do what only He can do.

Last weeks message was titled "Called" and it remind us of a powerful truth: God knows us by name. In a world of billions of people, the Creator of heaven and earth sees you, knows you, and has called you according to His purpose.
