THE WIND IS BLOWING…REVIVAL IS IN THE AIR! The newly formed Batesville Community Church will have its first worship service on Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Batesville Civic Center in the main arena. Everyone (who can safely travel) is invited to worship, to hear the preaching of the Word, and to fellowship. It will be good to check on each other and to praise God together.
If you have a Biblically sound church home that is having service tomorrow, we encourage you to meet with your church. If you do not have a church that you regularly attend, or your church is not meeting, please come to the civic center for the 10:30 am service. Again, if you can safely travel!!
In order to introduce ourselves, here is some preliminary info about Batesville Community Church. We will get more info out soon:
• The pastor and teaching elder is John Howell Jr.
• Jeremy Richey is the missions pastor.
•Jennifer Howell will lead children and nursery activities, assisted by Shea Garner and Dorothy Claire McClure.
• Hunt Howell will lead worship.
• Thom Hunter Pratt will lead audio/visual/tech ministries.
• Jason Covington is the treasurer.
• Jonathan Garner is the secretary.
• This movement is by faith and with no paid staff at present.
• This will be a non-denominational church. We want no denominational barriers, so come check us out. The door is wide open to those interested in learning about Jesus Christ and the Word of God, and to those who have been saved and want to serve and grow in Christ. We will be hyper focused on the gospel and the grace of God.
•Our regular Sunday services will be held each Sunday at 10:30 am at the Batesville Junior High School auditorium, with a nursery and children’s activities and teaching running at the same time as the services—again, that’s not this Sunday but beginning Feb. 8.
That’s enough for now…please know that you are warmly and lovingly invited to be part of what’s happening here in Batesville…we truly believe the mighty hand of God is moving!!
Please park on the east side of the building. The main building entrance will be open. There are still some icy spots so please be careful!!
