God didn’t just save you from something—He saved you for something.
You weren’t rescued just to survive—you were redeemed to make a difference.
You are called, chosen, and crafted with purpose.
Walk boldly in the good works He prepared in advance for you.

“You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”
— Mark 8:33 NLT

How often do we, like Peter, struggle to accept God’s path when it doesn’t match our expectations? We long for victory without battle, glory without sacrifice, resurrection without the cross.

Peter wanted Jesus to be king, but not the suffering servant prophesied in Isaiah 53. He was ready to receive the glory for following the Messiah, but not the persecution. He was hoping for a throne, not a cross. Peter loved Jesus, but in that moment, he was focused on comfort, not calling — on personal desires, not divine purpose.

The Christian life is not a paved road to wealth, political favor, or ease. It often involves hard work, persecution, deprivation, and deep suffering. Like Peter, we often see only part of the picture. But God sees the full story — and His plans always lead to greater glory.

If you’re facing hardship, discouragement, or unanswered prayers, take heart. The cross was followed by an empty tomb. God is at work, even in what feels like loss. Trust His perspective. Rest in His sovereignty. He is writing a story far greater than we could ever imagine.
