What a beautiful day for outdoor Mass and prayer on the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Mary’s role in Catholic life is to lead us more deeply into the heart of her Son, bringing her motherly presence into our contemplative lives; devotion to her is described as gentle, calming, and healing, and it draws us into the communion of saints.

The rosary and Marian prayer are presented as a powerful help for contemplation, peace, and spiritual consolation, especially in the midst of busy days.12

The Mass itself is a rich “symphony of prayer,” uniting adoration, repentance, listening, and blessing as God’s grace is received in worship.419

A fitting prayer for today would be:
“Immaculate Heart of Mary, lead us to Jesus, help us to pray with purity and trust, and keep us close to the Eucharistic heart of your Son.”912

Prayer
Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mother of Jesus and Mother of the Church, lead us more deeply into the heart of your Son.

Teach us to pray with purity, humility, and trust, and help us to receive the grace of this Holy Mass with reverence and love.

As we gather outdoors in prayer, keep us close to Jesus in the Eucharist, and draw us into the communion of saints.

Holy Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

We also enjoyed a some delicious food and fellowship today thanks to all the amazing volunteers.

Come join us TOMORROW, Saturday, June 13, at St. Joseph Chapel & the Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (400 South Blvd. West, Pontiac, MI 48341) as we celebrate an OUTDOOR MASS for feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

We will gather in the grassy area (The Hallow) behind the chapel for the Rosary at 11:30 AM and Mass at Noon followed by a reception—all outdoors.  (St. Joseph Chapel will be closed.). No RSVP is necessary.

JESUS entrusted world peace to the Immaculate Heart of His Mother.  Let us honor her that the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart—predicted by her at Fatima—may happen soon!!

Like every Friday we’re open, doors open at 10:30 am with Eucharistic Exposition; Confession at 11:00 am and Mass at Noon. Our Consecration to the Sacred Heart will be prayed during homily time. We will pray the Rosary and the Chaplet after Mass.

Tomorrow evening, at 7:00 pm, we pray the Stations of the Cross at our outdoor Stations (behind our chapel in grassy area called The Hallow) and pray the Litany of the Sacred Heart and the Act of Consecration—all in reparation for the sins of our country. United to our bishops who just consecrated our country to the Sacred Heart, we do this out of love for our country.

In this time of WAR, due to man’s sins, we should turn to her Heart with greater fervor and confidence because JESUS has entrusted world peace to it.

Doors open at 8:30 am with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament & Confession (available throughout the morning).

Mass is at 9:00 am and at Noon, with each Mass followed by the Rosary, the 15 minutes reflection on the Mysteries of the Rosary Our Lady of Fatima requested. Benediction will only be after the noon Mass.
