Local Facebook Friends: I am in **DIRE** need of the following furniture items:

• Bed. Single, Double, Queen, King... doesn't matter the size.
• Dresser
• Sofa/couch
• Coffee Table
• Television
• Shower Curtain

I have a truck and can pick up items at any time. I may need help loading heavy items into the truck, but she will come with me if she and I need to do the heavy lifting.

I can get bedding, towels, dishes, pots and pans, cleaning supplies, etc.

This is for a young homeless woman who showed up at our church yesterday. She's 23, and walked here through the Dérian Jungle, all the way through Central America and Mexico. It took her TWO MONTHS to walk here. She rode on TOP of a moving train for THREE DAYS. She arrived with the clothes on her back and needed a hand-up.

She has ZERO family.... anyone who knows me, KNOWS that I stepped directly into a mom role for her!

She is also looking for a JOB. She does not speak English, but is very adept at using Google Translate, and is willing to clean, cook, waitress, etc. If you know of any place in the immediate Pontiac area that is willing to hire someone who cannot speak English (yet!) Please let me know! She was admitted LEGALLY into the United States, and has her papers. She is currently working to get her Work Visa as well.

You are invited to a very special Evensong service celebrating the return of the All Saints panel of the National AIDS Memorial Quilt on Sunday, December 17 at 5 pm. Bishop Bonnie Perry will be presiding.

It is an honor for All Saints to temporarily house one section of the immense AIDS Memorial Quilt, on loan from the National AIDS Memorial in Washington DC. The All Saints panel in that section was created by congregants in 1995 to remember 9 men in our congregation who tragically died of AIDS. We are grateful that we have our panel back in our sanctuary for the Christmas season, and to have this time to reflect on the lives that are remembered there.

The AIDS Memorial Quilt project is the largest community arts project ever created. It is made of 50,000 panels, dedicated to over 110,000 individuals who died from AIDS. The section that is on display in our sanctuary contains 8 panels.

Friends: a family at our church is in need of a queen bed, and 3 twin beds. Box springs and frames would be wonderful, but if you just have a mattress, that works too. If anyone could help… it would be such a blessing.
