We praise God for His faithfulness in the life and ministry journey of Joe Zelenka!🎉🎉
On May 14, Joe was sustained by the floor of Presbytery and licensed to preach the Gospel in the Presbyterian Church in America.
In the PCA, licensure is an important step in the ordination process. It means that Presbytery has examined and approved Joe to preach and minister under the oversight of the church as he continues toward full ordination as a Teaching Elder.
This comes after Joe successfully completed and passed his written exams, sustained his oral examination before the Credentials Committee, and was approved by Presbytery for this next season of ministry. In other words, after many months of study, prayer, preparation, and more flashcards than any human should reasonably endure, we are rejoicing in the Lord’s kindness and provision.
We are deeply thankful for God’s guidance, grace, and faithfulness every step of the way.
Please continue praying for Joe as he prepares for the final step in this journey. On November 12 at Ortega Presbyterian Church, Presbytery will examine him on the remaining portions of his ordination exams, with the hope of moving toward full ordination in the PCA as a Teaching Elder.
