🎃 Shine Bright on Halloween Night

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.”

Tonight, lots of kids will dress up, laugh, and go door to door for candy. But did you know what Halloween used to be called?
It was All Hallows’ Eve — a night that reminded people that God’s light is stronger than any darkness!

Sometimes the world makes Halloween all about spooky things — ghosts, monsters, or fear.
But we don’t have to be afraid, because Jesus lives in us!
That means we carry light wherever we go.

When you smile, help a friend, or say “God bless you” to your neighbor — you’re shining the light of Jesus!
So tonight, whether you’re trick-or-treating, passing out candy, or spending time at home, remember:
Be brave. Be kind. Be bright.
Let your light shine for everyone to see!

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sending Jesus, the Light of the World.
Help me shine bright tonight and every night.

📖 Temporal or Eternal
Tonight's Message- Doors open at 6pm

“And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”
Acts 20:22–24 NIV

We make choices every single day. Some choices are small—like what to watch, what to eat, or what to wear. Others are huge—like who you hang out with, how you treat people, and whether or not you’ll stand up for what’s right.

Paul knew his life wouldn’t be easy. He didn’t know all the details of what was ahead—but he knew what mattered most: finishing the race God gave him. Sharing the gospel. Keeping his eyes on what’s eternal.

Here’s the truth: Fakers focus on the temporary. Followers fix their eyes on the eternal.

Temporary things can look good—money, popularity, success, even comfort. But none of those last forever. Paul chose to aim his life at what would last: Jesus. The gospel. People’s eternity.

So let’s get real: What are you chasing that won’t last? And what eternal thing is worth giving your focus and effort?

🙏 Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me stop chasing the things that won’t last. Give me the courage to keep my eyes on You, to finish the race You’ve called me to, and to live for what’s eternal, not just what’s easy or temporary. Amen.
