What a beautiful Mother’s Day at Redemption Baptist Church! 🌸

Our Children’s Choir and ministry did an incredible job honoring our mothers today. Pastor Hector Clerveaux preached powerfully from Genesis 37 on the risks and sacrifices of motherhood, reminding us that mothers ought to be appreciated, cherished, loved, honored, and cared for.

To every mother—thank you for your prayers, your sacrifices, and your love. And thank you to everyone who worshipped with us today. 💐❤️

When you believe in Christ’s resurrection, it’s not a blind faith
it’s a response to truth, to love, and to a sacrifice that changed everything.

We as humans fall short daily missing the mark in our thoughts, our actions, and even in our intentions. No matter how hard we try, perfection is something we can’t reach on our own.

That’s what makes Easter so powerful. It’s the reminder that God already knew our limits, and instead of leaving us there, He made a way. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, every mistake, every sin, every failure was already accounted for and paid in full.

The resurrection isn’t just a story—it’s proof that grace is real, that death isn’t the end, and that no matter how far we fall, we’re never too far to be redeemed.

What it means to fall short of the glory of God?

We as humans are imperfect beings, unable to land directly on the mark, constantly missing it in our thoughts, our actions, and our hearts.

Easter is the reminder that God knew we never could reach perfection on our own, so He made a way for us anyway. Through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, He took on the weight of every mistake, every sin, every shortcoming and paid the price we never could.

The valley of life can be unpredictable. The reassuring news is that with Christ, we can navigate this the valley of life confidently.

What stage of life are you currently experiencing? Are you anticipating a job promotion or facing a loss? Have you recently lost a loved one? Are you settling into a new home?

Regardless of your circumstances, with Christ, all will be well.

Do you embrace Christ in the valley of life?

God's ultimate purpose for our lives is not comfort — it’s Christlikeness.

From Romans 8:28–29, Pastor Alexandre reminded us that nothing in our lives is random. Every joy, every trial, every delay is working together under God’s sovereign hand to shape us into the image of His Son.

When suffering raises questions, faith answers with confidence:
▪︎ God is in control.
▪︎ God is for us.
▪︎ God is finishing what He started.

Even in hardship, we can worship — just like Paul and Silas — because the finished work will outweigh the present pain.

Be encouraged. Be strengthened. God’s purpose for you will prevail.
