It doesn’t matter how you start — what matters is how you finish.

In Part 4 of our Saul of Tarsus series, Pastor Marcus shares a powerful message from 2 Timothy 4:6–11 about finishing the race of faith. Paul started as a persecutor of the church, yet he was able to say at the end of his life, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Through trials, suffering, betrayal, and perseverance, Paul stayed faithful—and even found redemption and reconciliation along the way.

If you’ve ever felt like quitting or wondered if your past disqualifies you, this message will encourage you to keep going and finish well.

What if the man who became the greatest apostle in the New Testament first had to be the Church’s fiercest enemy?

In Saul of Tarsus, Pastor Marcus takes us into the early life of Saul — before he was Paul. We start in Acts 7:55–60 and 8:1–3, where Saul stands at Stephen’s stoning and approves of it. He drags men and women from their homes, convinced he’s doing God’s will. Raised in Tarsus, trained as a Pharisee, and a Roman citizen, Saul knew the Law… but he didn’t understand God’s love.

This message isn’t just history — it’s a challenge: Are we religious, or are we relational? God isn’t after our acts. He’s after our hearts.

🤫 Not everyone can handle what God is about to do in your life! Be selective about who you share your divine promises with. Some people are there to help you grow, others are just watching you burn. Choose your circle wisely! 🙏

Preparing for Rain – Part 4: Preparing for Rain
In our series finale, Pastor Marcus walks through 1 Kings 18:41–44 and reminds us that before God sends rain, He first has to turn our hearts back to Him. So often we focus on the promise and overlook the process God uses to prepare us. What idols might God need to remove before the rain comes? Watch the powerful conclusion here:

🔥 Sometimes God allows drought in our lives to create HUNGER! When we get comfortable, we stop pursuing Him like we used to. But hunger leads to desperation, and desperation makes us willing to do what it takes! Are you hungry enough to chase after God again? 🙏

🌧️ Preparing for Rain – Part 1: Show Up 🌧️
Seasons of drought are not meant to destroy us—they are meant to create a hunger for more of God. In Part One of our new sermon series Preparing for Rain, Pastor Marcus preaches from 1 Kings 18:1–2, 41–44 and reminds us that one of the first steps in preparing for rain is simply showing up.
Before Elijah ever saw the rain, he heard it. He heard God’s voice before he saw God’s hand. When we show up in obedience—no matter the season—we position ourselves to hear what God is doing, because the key to our breakthrough is often found in listening.

Happy New Year from all of us at Pompano Beach Church of God!
We are so thankful that God has allowed us to make it into 2026. As we look back on 2025, our hearts are full of gratitude for all that the Lord has done among us. We witnessed over 15 people give their hearts to God, celebrated 20 baptisms, launched a food pantry and clothing closet, and watched God grow our church from just a handful of people to a little more than a handful—all by His grace.
2025 was a year of building, and we are still building. But 2026 is a year of expectation. We are believing God for a great harvest, new ministry opportunities, and great and mighty things that only He can do. We step into this new year full of faith, hope, and anticipation for what’s ahead.
Here’s to all God has done—and all He is about to do.
